Concentrate devices need cleaning far more often than dry herb ones, and the V-ONE 2.0 is no exception. Residue collects on the quartz coil, in the ceramic dish underneath it, on the inside of whichever mouthpiece you are using, and in the bubbler water. The single most useful habit is wiping the coil while it is still warm, because cooled residue sets hard.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

1. Wipe the coil warm: As soon as the coil has stopped glowing but is still warm, run a cotton swab around the quartz and the dish below it. This is the difference between a coil that lasts and one that does not.
2. Cap it back up: Refit the splash proof mouthpiece so nothing in your pocket picks up residue.
3. Change the bubbler water: If you used the glass mouthpiece, tip the water out rather than leaving it to sit.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

1. Strip the device: Unscrew the mouthpiece from the atomizer and the atomizer from the battery, and set the O-rings aside.
2. Soak the metal and glass: Put the steel mouthpiece, the glass bubbler and the carb cap in isopropyl alcohol until the residue lifts, then rinse in warm water and dry completely.
3. Clean the coil and dish carefully: Use an alcohol dampened swab on the quartz coil and the ceramic dish. Do not soak the coil assembly and do not scrape the quartz with anything metal.
4. Check the threads and contacts: Wipe the 510 threads and the centre contact with a dry swab. Residue here causes weak or intermittent firing.
5. Replace the O-rings when they perish: Spares come in the box. Worn rings are the usual cause of a bubbler that leaks or a mouthpiece that will not seal.

Care Tips for Better Results

• Use small amounts. Overloading the dish floods the coil and drops performance immediately.
• Run the low setting where you can. Less heat means less baked residue and a longer coil life.
• Fill the bubbler just below the middle. Too much water and it spits into the mouthpiece.
• Keep spare coils on hand. A tired coil looks fine but produces noticeably less vapor.

The trade-offs come from the coil design. Quartz coils are consumables, so budget for replacements, and running them hard shortens their life.
