XVape Fyra

XVape Fyra

XVape Fyra Overview

The XVape Fyra is a 510 thread battery with three different heads that screw into it. Fit the convection herb head for dry herb, swap to the dip tip to take concentrate straight from the jar, or screw in a standard 510 cartridge. A removable glass bubbler clips into the body so vapor passes through water on the way out, which is unusual at this price and does a lot for the flavour.

Five preset levels run from 180°C to 240°C and are selected with a single click of the power button, with the light colour telling you which one is active. The herb head takes about 18 seconds to preheat and then runs a three minute session, while the dip tip and cartridges fire instantly. It also works draw activated, so you can inhale without holding the button. Charging is USB-C, the 1500mAh cell is sealed in, and there is a scraping tool stored in the top of the device.

XVape Fyra FAQs

How do I switch the XVape Fyra between herb, concentrate and cartridges?

The herb head screws onto a 510 adaptor. Press it on and twist right to lock. To change materials, twist the herb head left until the adaptor unscrews with it, then thread the dip tip or a 510 cartridge straight into the battery. No tools are needed and nothing else has to be bought.

How do I operate the Fyra?

Three quick clicks turn it on or off. One click steps through the five temperature settings. Two clicks start the herb head preheat, which takes about 18 seconds and ends with a vibration. The dip tip and cartridges fire either by holding the button or by drawing, since the device has an air sensor.

What temperatures does the XVape Fyra run?

Five presets, shown by light colour: white 180°C, green 190°C, blue 200°C, purple 220°C and red 240°C. XVape measured these in a lab using the herb head, so treat them as a guide rather than an exact reading. Our temperature guide explains what each range gives you.

Can I replace the Fyra battery?

No. XVape states the 1500mAh cell is built in and cannot be removed, and warns against opening the device. If you want a device with a swappable cell, see our replaceable battery vaporizers list.

How should I charge the XVape Fyra?

Use the supplied USB-C cable or a standard Type-C charger rated no higher than 5V/1A. Anything above that can damage the device. XVape also advises against using the Fyra while it is charging. A red light flashing ten times quickly means the battery is flat.

Does the glass bubbler need water every time?

Only if you want the filtration. The bubbler slots into the body and can be run dry, but a small amount of water cools the vapor noticeably, particularly at the top two temperature settings. Rinse it with warm water or alcohol after use and blow the water out through the mouthpiece.

Where is the cleaning tool on the Fyra?

It is built into the top of the device. Pull it out by hand when you need it and use it to scrape spent material from the herb head chamber before brushing. XVape recommends cleaning the chamber, the 510 adaptor and the glass mouthpiece after each use.

What does the XVape Fyra warranty cover?

XVape gives 12 months on the main body and its electronic components. Heating elements, glass parts, silicone parts, accessories, cosmetic damage, user damage and normal battery degradation are excluded. Keep the serial number and the 16 digit security code from the box, since both are needed for a warranty claim.

XVape Fyra Cleaning & Maintenance

Because the Fyra swaps heads, residue collects in different places depending on how you use it. XVape recommends cleaning the chamber, the 510 adaptor and the glass mouthpiece after each use, and the scraping tool needed for the job is stored in the top of the device. Concentrate use in particular needs attention straight away, before the residue cools and hardens.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

  1. Let it cool and pull out the tool: Give the head a minute, then pull the scraping tool from the top of the device.
  2. Scrape and brush the herb head: Scrape the used material out of the chamber, then sweep the rest away with the supplied brush.
  3. Rinse the glass bubbler: Warm water or alcohol through the bubbler, then blow through the mouthpiece to clear the water out.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

  1. Remove the head and adaptor together: Hold the herb head and twist left, keeping pressure on, until the adaptor comes away with it.
  2. Swab the chamber: Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and scrub the sides and base of the chamber in a circular motion. Do not fill the chamber with liquid.
  3. Clean the 510 adaptor: Residue on the threads and the airway is what causes weak or intermittent firing. Wipe the threads with an alcohol pad and let them dry.
  4. Soak the bubbler if it is stained: Alcohol clears the glass. Rinse with warm water afterwards and shake the water out completely.
  5. Replace a clogged screen: Two mesh screens come in the box. Swapping a screen is faster than trying to clear a badly caked one.
  6. Dry everything before reassembling: XVape is explicit that the whole device must be dry before it is used again.

Care Tips for Better Results

  • Do not overload the herb head. XVape says too much material heats unevenly and blocks the filter, which chokes the draw. See our grind guide.
  • Cap the dip tip after use. The cap keeps residue off everything else in your pocket.
  • Wipe the outside with a slightly damp swab or paper towel, not alcohol, to protect the finish.
  • A slow, long inhale gives denser and better tasting vapor than a hard pull, especially with the bubbler fitted.
  • For general technique, read our guide on how to clean a dry herb vaporizer.

Learn More About XVape Fyra

The Fyra suits someone who does not want to carry three devices. One battery covers flower, concentrate and 510 cartridges, and the glass bubbler means every one of those runs through water, so it is a cheap way into water filtered vaping without buying a rig. At its price it sits comfortably in our budget portables territory, and because the dip tip and cartridges fire on demand it can also be a quick one hit device when you do not want a full session.

The compromises are the usual ones for a device that tries to do everything. The herb head is small and only runs a fixed three minute session, so it is not a replacement for a proper flower vaporizer, and the five preset temperature steps give less control than a device with by degree adjustment. XVape also states the battery is sealed in and that the device should not be used while charging, so runtime is what it is. If dry herb is your main use, read what is a dry herb vaporizer and how does it work and compare against a dedicated unit from our dry herb vaporizers list before deciding.
