Dr. Dabber Switch GO

Dr. Dabber Switch GO

Dr. Dabber Switch GO Overview

The Switch GO takes the Switch 2 formula and shrinks it. Dr. Dabber puts it at 54 percent smaller than the bigger rig, and the glass water chamber now sits inside the body rather than on top, lit from behind so the fill level and the selected temperature are visible from the side. Like the Switch 2 there is no atomizer to replace, just a 14mm quartz insert that drops into a titanium heating chamber. The heating is where the two differ. The Switch 2 uses induction with an infrared sensor, while the GO uses dual parallel heating elements and an RTD probe. The result is a rig that still runs 250F to 650F and the same six Dynamic Heating Modes, but from a body you can hold in one hand. It arrived in 2026 and sits at the premium end of the portable concentrate market.

Five colour coded presets live on the buttons, from purple at 400F up to white at 540F, and the Dr. Dabber app opens single degree control along with custom hold times, light themes and firmware updates. The insert takes about a rice grain for normal use and up to half a gram if you want a longer session. The carb cap is magnetic, and Dr. Dabber lists the same optional sapphire and titanium inserts as the Switch 2, though they are sized for the GO rather than shared between the two.

What Comes with the Dr. Dabber Switch GO?

  • Switch GO eRig
  • 14mm quartz insert
  • Glass attachment
  • Carb cap
  • Dab tool
  • USB-C charging cable

If you want the larger insert, the longer runtime and the infrared sensor, the Switch 2 is the rig this one is based on. For something smaller and cheaper to carry, the XS covers the same ground with fewer settings.

Dr. Dabber Switch GO FAQs

How is the Switch GO different from the Switch 2?

It is a little over half the size, uses a 14mm insert instead of 20mm, and heats with dual parallel elements and an RTD sensor rather than induction and an infrared sensor. Runtime drops to 20 to 25 cycles, warranty drops to one year, and the water chamber moves inside the body.

Is the Switch GO an induction rig?

No. Despite the Switch name, Dr. Dabber lists dual parallel heating with an internal RTD temperature sensor. Induction is specific to the original Switch and the Switch 2. There is still no atomizer to replace, because the quartz insert is a passive dish.

How many temperature settings does it have?

Five presets on the buttons, running purple 400F, blue 440F, cyan 480F, orange 500F and white 540F. The app takes that to any value between 250F and 650F in single degree steps, and each preset can hold its own temperature, hold time and heating mode.

Do the Dynamic Heating Modes work the same way?

Yes. Descent, Ascent, Steady, Hill, Valley and Custom all carry over, with Descent as the default. Descent lets the insert cool through the hold like a torched banger, Ascent climbs for cold starts, and Custom is capped at 10 degrees per second heating and 3 degrees per second cooling.

How long does the Switch GO run on a charge?

Dr. Dabber's product page says up to 20 heating cycles and the knowledge base says 25, so expect somewhere in that range depending on temperature and hold time. A full charge takes 45 to 60 minutes over USB-C, and passthrough charging lets you keep using it while plugged in.

Do Switch 2 inserts and glass fit the Switch GO?

No. The GO uses its own 14mm inserts, glass attachment and carb cap, all sold separately under the Switch GO name. Quartz comes in the kit, with sapphire and titanium as options. Titanium is the one Dr. Dabber recommends for flower or hash.

What does the Switch GO warranty cover?

One year on the battery, charger and electrical components. Glass, inserts and carb caps are treated as consumables and are excluded, so budget for a spare insert. Claims go through Dr. Dabber directly, which means buying from an authorised seller.

Dr. Dabber Switch GO Cleaning & Maintenance

The Switch GO keeps its oil in the quartz insert and pushes vapour through a glazed ceramic cloud pathway into the glass chamber inside the body. Reclaim builds in the pathway and around the aluminium crown before it becomes obvious in the insert, and because the water chamber is enclosed, water left sitting in it stains faster than it would in a top mounted attachment.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

  1. Dry swab the insert: Use a dry cotton swab straight after the dab to mop up leftover oil while the quartz is still warm.
  2. Follow with isopropyl: A swab dipped in 91 percent or stronger isopropyl clears anything the dry swab leaves. Dr. Dabber recommends doing this every session rather than saving it up.
  3. Wipe the carb cap: The magnetic cap collects reclaim on its underside, and a quick swab keeps it seating properly.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

  1. Run the cleaning assist cycle: In the app settings it warms the insert to 100 degrees for 30 seconds, which loosens residue and makes the insert easier to lift out. It does not count towards the dab counter.
  2. Take the top apart: Lift the crown off first, then remove the insert. To free the glass attachment, slide it upwards with your thumbs once the crown is off, then twist and pull it out of the body.
  3. Clean the chamber and pathway: Swab isopropyl through the heating chamber, the glazed ceramic cloud pathway and the crown. The silicone seals on the crown and carb cap come off for cleaning, but remove the crown seal carefully so you do not disturb the magnet.
  4. Shake the glass out: Fill it with 91 percent isopropyl and shake until the marks lift, adding a tablespoon of table salt for stubborn reclaim. Rinse fully with warm water and air dry before it goes back in.
  5. Dry everything before reassembly: Any isopropyl left in the pathway will show up in the next hit.

Care Tips for Better Results

  • Keep isopropyl off the outer shell, as it will damage the finish. Use a damp paper towel with a little dish soap and avoid the charging port.
  • Fill the glass to just above the perc holes, with the attachment out of the body. Overfilling causes splashback.
  • Empty the water when you are not using it for a while, especially if the rig is packed for travel.
  • Torching inserts is not recommended and they are not covered by warranty.
  • Let the unit cool for around 20 minutes after three or more back to back cycles, and charge from below 15 percent rather than leaving it on the cable. Our battery guide explains why.

Learn More About Dr. Dabber Switch GO

The Switch GO is aimed at people who liked what the Switch 2 does but never wanted to carry it. At 152mm tall and 363 grams it is closer to a large water bottle than a table rig, the glass lives inside the body where it is hard to knock over, and the quartz insert means there is no atomizer to buy every few months. That combination makes it one of the more sensible portable concentrate options if you dab away from home, and the travel guide covers the practical side of moving a rig with water in it.

The compromises are runtime and headroom. Dr. Dabber quotes 20 to 25 heating cycles against 30 on the Switch 2, the insert is 14mm rather than 20mm, and the smaller water chamber cools less on the hottest settings. It also drops induction for resistance heating, which most reviewers describe as a slightly more controlled, less aggressive hit rather than a worse one. Single degree control and custom heating curves need the app, and on iOS that runs through the LabLink browser rather than the App Store. If you want a cheaper way into a small rig, the XS has four fixed settings and no app, and the premium list covers what else sits at this price.
