XVape Fog Pro Overview
The Fog Pro from XVape offers full digital control, fast heat-up (only around 15 seconds), a removable 18650 battery, and a hinged top to get it packed and vaping fast. Is the XVape Fog Pro true convection?
XVape lists it as fully convection with a stainless steel oven, so heated air does the work, not a hot wall. The OLED runs 100C to 220C, or 212F to 428F, in single degree steps, reached inside 15 seconds. Our convection guide covers the difference.
Which 18650 batteries fit the Fog Pro?
It ships with a 3200mAh 18650, and XVape says any working 3200mAh 18650 can replace it. The cell lifts out, so an external charger works as well as the USB-C port. Expect around 350 cycles from a cell.
How long is a Fog Pro session?
Sessions are timed at five or ten minutes and count down on screen once the device vibrates to signal it is up to temperature, ending when the timer hits zero. Hold power and the up button together for two seconds to switch length.
Does the Fog Pro have adjustable airflow?
No. The air hole is fixed and the draw is very open, so some owners partly cover it to thicken the vapor. The path is built for cooling instead: steel filter, ceramic airflow box, zirconia tip.
Can the Fog Pro be used with a water pipe?
Yes. XVape sells a bong adapter shared with the Starry 3.0 and Starry 4 that also fits both Fog models. The mouthpiece lid is held by magnets alone, so it can lift free if the adapter is knocked.
How does the Fog Pro compare with the XVape Avant and Vista Mini 2?
The Avant is cheaper, with a ceramic chamber, five preset steps and a sealed battery. The Fog Pro adds the full adjustable range, a swappable 18650 and a wax cup. The Vista Mini 2 is a desktop concentrate rig, not a flower vaporizer.
What does the Fog Pro warranty cover?
XVape warrants the electronic base only. The mouthpiece, battery cell, scraping tool and other detachable parts are excluded, as is normal battery degradation. A claim needs the serial number on the box sticker and the 16 digit code under its scratch off coating.
XVape Fog Pro Cleaning & Maintenance
Convection means the load in the Fog Pro never sits against a hot wall, so most of what needs cleaning ends up downstream rather than baked into the oven. Vapor leaves the chamber through a stainless steel filter, crosses a ceramic airflow box and exits the zirconia mouthpiece, and that run is where resin settles. Owners tend to notice the draw tightening well before the flavour drops off, so treat rising airflow resistance as the cue to strip it down.
-
Scrape it cold: The Fog Pro stores a scraping tool in the base of the body. Pull it out once the unit has cooled, clear the spent load from the chamber, then sweep the walls with the supplied brush. Never work the tool inside the device while it is switched on or still hot.
-
Dig the filter free: The filter component comes free of the mouthpiece assembly with a gentle dig. XVape asks that it soaks in isopropyl in a glass container rather than a plastic one, and being steel it can sit there as long as it needs.
-
Take the mouthpiece down: Work the assembly apart gently. The ceramic sections and the airflow box soak in isopropyl alongside the filter. The silicone base does not: wash that in warm soapy water, rinse it, and let it dry completely before it goes back on.
-
Swab the magnetic lid: The magnetic top lid takes a cotton swab dampened with water rather than solvent, worked in circles around the sides and the underside. Save the alcohol wipes for the chamber interior and the shell.
-
Do the chamber inverted: Circle a lightly dampened alcohol swab around the chamber walls with the unit held upside down, so nothing can run past into the heater or the battery bay. Follow it with the dry end of the swab.
-
Run it empty at 220C: Once everything is dry and reassembled, XVape specifies an empty run at the top of the range, 220C, for two minutes. That clears solvent traces out of the ceramic path.
XVape asks for the mouthpiece and chamber after every session, and the box ships alcohol wipes, swabs and spare gaskets so you can keep to that pace. Replace an O-ring as soon as it flattens or the lid stops sealing cleanly. For the cell, charge at 5V/1A and never above 5V/2A, give it six hours or more the first time, and budget for a fresh 18650 around the 350 cycle mark. Nothing oil or liquid based belongs in the chamber, and concentrates only ever go in the wax cup.
