Mambo Herb Stick Cleaning & Maintenance

The Mambo heats a loosely packed stainless steel chamber with a convection element that pulls out of the base, and everything the vapor picks up then travels a narrow airflow tube to a mesh filter screen sitting behind the magnetic mouthpiece. XVape suggests a fine grind on this device, so that filter takes the worst of it, and a Mambo that has gone stiff to draw on usually needs the filter out rather than the chamber scrubbed.

  1. Let it go cold: XVape asks for at least 30 minutes since the last session and a fully cooled device. The oven and the convection heater hold heat longer than the body suggests.

  2. Empty the chamber: Lift the spent load out of the stainless steel heating chamber with the supplied cleaning tool, or out of the stainless steel herb pod if you loaded with one. Stirring the oven after each session is XVape's own advice for better extraction.

  3. Swab the chamber walls: Sweep the chamber wall with one of the included alcohol wipes, or use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl. Never inject liquid or oil into the heating oven.

  4. Change the chamber screen: The cleaning tool lifts the chamber mesh screen out so a fresh one can drop in. Two spares ship in the kit and XVape sells the screen set on its own.

  5. Pull the mouthpiece off: The food grade silicone mouthpiece is held by a magnet and comes straight off. Sweep it with an alcohol wipe and finish the inside with an isopropyl swab.

  6. Brush the airflow tube: With the mouthpiece off, the airflow tube hole is exposed. Push the spiral brush through it, which also pops the filter out of the main body.

  7. Clean the filter: Wipe the filter with an alcohol pad. Its mesh screen can be cleaned or replaced once removed. Refit the filter to the chamber and push it back into the body with the mesh screen side facing you.

  8. Deep clean occasionally: All the screens and silicone parts can be immersed in isopropyl, but never the heating chamber, the main body or the device as a whole. Rinse the soaked parts with clean water and dry everything fully before reassembly.

Avoiding overloaded bowls helps too, since XVape says too much material blocks the filter and stops vapor reaching the tip.

Charge only at 5V/1A or lower, as anything higher damages the device, and do not leave it stored flat: XVape warns that letting the cell fall below 2% can ruin it permanently, and the battery is sealed in. If the power light flashes red three times quickly, the heating chamber is not seated properly. The heating element and silicone parts sit outside the one year warranty, so treat them as consumables.
