Is the XMAX V3 Nano session or on-demand?
Session only. Three clicks start a 30 second preheat, then a three minute session that ends by shutting itself off. There is no hold to heat mode, so a top up means a fresh cycle. See session versus on-demand.
Can you change the temperature on the XMAX V3 Nano?
No. XMAX sets one preset that holds 200 to 220°C (392 to 428°F) all session, with no screen to adjust. Our review found that ceiling runs hot, with vapor turning harsh late on.
What do the XMAX V3 Nano's light and vibration mean?
Three flashes and one buzz means it switched on or off. Pulsing red is the preheat, and two buzzes with a steady light means ready. Ten rapid red flashes means it is flat.
How much should I pack in the XMAX V3 Nano oven?
The chamber measures 9.4 by 9.4 by 11mm, so it takes a pinch. XMAX calls the oven delicate and asks for a loose pack below its top edge, which keeps airflow open.
How should I charge the XMAX V3 Nano?
Over USB-C from an adapter rated no higher than 5V/1A, as XMAX says more can damage the device and anything above 5V/2A trips a protection circuit. Give the first charge six hours.
Can the XMAX V3 Nano be used with a water pipe?
Not as supplied, but XMAX makes a V3 Nano glass adapter for 14mm and 18mm joints, replacing the mouthpiece. Our review suggests a longer preheat or several smaller pulls when vaping through water.
How does the XMAX V3 Nano compare to the XMAX V3 Pro?
The V3 Pro has adjustable temperature, session and on-demand heating, and a swappable 18650. The Nano drops all of that for size and price: 133.6mm long, 20mm square, 50 grams, sealed cell.
What does the XMAX V3 Nano warranty cover?
TopGreen gives 12 months from purchase with a receipt, or from date of manufacture without one, on the electronic base only. Mouthpiece, battery cell and other detachable parts are excluded.
XMAX V3 Nano Cleaning & Maintenance
The V3 Nano's oven is tiny, about 9.4mm across and 11mm deep, so the mesh screen at its base loads up with resin much sooner than the small bowl size suggests. The glass mouthpiece sits almost directly above that oven with very little cooling length, so condensate settles on it within a few sessions. In our review we also noticed the large air holes on the body can trap lint, which is worth checking whenever you take the device apart.

Let it cool completely: XMAX asks that the Nano has been unused for at least 30 minutes and is fully cold before cleaning. The heating element sits immediately under the oven and holds heat after a session.

Separate the mouthpiece and filter: The glass mouthpiece lifts away with a gentle pull. Below it is the filter component, which comes off the glass and carries the o-rings that seal the two parts together.

Wash the removable parts: The manual allows soap and water on the mouthpiece and filter component. For a deep clean, XMAX permits soaking every removable piece in isopropyl alcohol for 10 to 20 minutes, with the o-rings kept out of the alcohol. Rinse with clean water and dry everything fully before reassembling.

Brush the oven, never flood it: Sweep the silver plated metal oven with the supplied brush, then wipe the walls with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl. Do not pour or inject liquid or oil into the oven, and never submerge the body itself. XMAX calls the oven delicate, so keep both the brush and your packing light.

Change the mesh screen: Two spares are included. Use the flat cleaning tool to work the old screen up along the oven wall, seat the new one, then press it into position with the same tool. Swap it once brushing and alcohol no longer restore the airflow, and fit a spare o-ring when the mouthpiece starts to feel loose.

Run a burn off: After cleaning, XMAX suggests a two minute empty heating cycle to clear any remaining residue and alcohol before you load again.

Look after the battery: The 1000mAh lithium polymer cell is internal and not swappable. Charge only from a 5V/1A source, since anything stronger can damage the device, and avoid storing the Nano flat. XMAX warns that a battery left below 2 percent will stop accepting a charge.
