Mighty+

Storz & Bickel gave the Plus a ceramic coated filling chamber where the original Mighty used bare steel, so the bowl resists staining. The cooling unit above it carried over unchanged, and that is where residue collects: on the coarse screen in the base and inside the cap. The manual wants that unit cleaned within seven days of the last session, sooner once deposits show.

1. Brush after every bowl: Let the device cool, tip out the spent load, then work the supplied cleaning brush over the filling chamber screen and the cooling unit screen. Doing that every session keeps the deeper clean short.

2. Lift the cap away: Pull the cap lock towards the mouthpiece and take the cooling unit cap off. Rock the mouthpiece gently as you draw it out, then peel off its seal ring.

3. Unscrew the base: A quarter turn anticlockwise frees the cooling unit base from the body.

4. Empty the base: The filling chamber tool on the device prises the large base seal ring up at the notch in its groove. Lift the small one out, then push the coarse screen down and clear.

5. Pick one solvent: Warm washing up water for five minutes upwards, or isopropyl for thirty minutes at most, since longer soaking makes the plastics brittle. The Mighty+ instructions list no dishwasher option. Rinse soaked parts under the tap for a full minute and dry them completely.

6. Keep the cap lock dry: Its signet hologram bleaches in alcohol and the adhesive beneath lets go. Wipe it over, or wash it in warm water.

7. Swab the ceramic: Dampen a cotton bud with isopropyl and wring it out before it nears the chamber. Alcohol running past the bowl into the electronics is what this layout punishes, and nothing metal belongs against the coating.

8. Change a clogged chamber screen: Press it inwards along the chamber groove with the tool until it bows free. A cleaned or new screen goes back curved side up, flattened into the groove.

9. Rebuild in reverse: The small base seal ring goes right down into the cap until it disappears and the coarse screen sits square in its groove, then base, cap, cap lock, mouthpiece seal ring, mouthpiece.

Body and cable want a dry or lightly damp cloth, never immersion or compressed air. The box holds three of each small screen plus three base seal rings, and Storz & Bickel confirm Mighty and Mighty+ parts interchange apart from the power supplies, so Mighty cooling units fit. A capsule magazine, filling aid or herb mill washes in warm water only, as alcohol damages their surfaces. SLO on the display during charging means an underpowered charger, not a failing battery.
