How do you fill the G Pen Roam's water tube?
Pull the battery and heating chamber up and away from the mouthpiece, lift the silicone mouthpiece off the glass hydrotube, then fill to the black line at the base. Push the mouthpiece back on slowly, since seating it fast forces water out.
How big a dab should you load in the Roam?
Grenco recommends loads no larger than a couple of grains of rice. Bigger dabs clog the steel air path in the flip top lid, the hole at the bottom of the quartz tank and the silicone air path liner.
Can you replace the Roam's quartz tank?
Yes. Let it cool, flip the lid up, pull the tank and its silicone cover off the base, slide the tank out, then fit the new one so the tabs line up. G Pen sells tanks, hydrotubes, mouthpieces and airflow strips as consumables.
What temperature range does the G Pen Roam cover?
400 to 800F, or 204 to 427C, in 25F steps set with the side buttons. Hold power and the up button for three seconds to swap Fahrenheit for Celsius. Double click power to heat: it vibrates, shows wavy lines, then a thumbs up.
Can you use the Roam while it is charging?
Yes, the 1300mAh battery supports passthrough. The port is micro USB, not USB-C. A flashing empty battery icon means it is out of power and will not heat until charged.
Why does my Roam show a connection issue or refuse to heat?
Usually the tank is seated wrong. The small tab under the quartz tank must sit flat in the tank cover facing the mouthpiece, and the cover's front panel should sit flush with the front of the battery.
What does the G Pen Roam warranty cover?
One year on electronic components, with proof of purchase and registration at gpen.com. Tanks, coils, mouthpieces and airflow strips are excluded as consumables, glass counts only if it arrives damaged, and water damage is not covered. The newer G Pen Hyer gets two years.

Component Separation: Start by disassembling your G Pen Roam. Remove the Quartz tank, tank cover, and the detachable air path channels, which include the stainless steel central air path channel and the silicone air path channel liner.

Cleaning Non-Electronic Parts: Soak the Quartz tank, tank cover, and stainless steel air path channel in ISO. These parts do not contain electronic components and can be safely cleaned with ISO. After soaking for at least an hour, wipe them down with cotton swabs.

Cleaning the Silicone Air Path Channel: Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with ISO to clean the silicone air path channel liner. Ensure it's completely dry before reassembling.

Handling Electronic Components: Do not use ISO on the battery or any part containing electronic components. For these parts, use a dry cotton swab or a cloth to gently wipe away any residue or debris. If necessary, a slightly damp cloth with water can be used, but ensure it's not wet enough to cause any liquid to seep into the electronic components.

Mouthpiece and Glass Chamber Cleaning: These can usually be cleaned with warm water. If there's significant buildup, a brief soak in isopropyl alcohol can be effective, followed by a thorough rinse with water. Make sure these parts are completely dry before reassembly.
