DynaVap The H2

The same swirl that makes the H2 cool well is what makes it collect residue. Vapor is thrown against the inside of the American Helix stem all the way up, so the glass clouds evenly rather than building a single ring, and the internal channels of the Helix tip hold resin where a plain finned tip would not. There is no condenser to floss here, so a soak does almost all the work.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

1. Wait for the cooldown click: Then give the glass a further minute. Sudden temperature changes are how these break.
2. Empty and brush the bowl: Knock the spent material out and sweep the chamber so the CCD screen stays clear.
3. Wipe the mouth end: A dry cotton bud keeps the draw clean and stops resin drying on the rim.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

1. Take it down to three pieces: Slide the Captive Cap off, then pull the Helix tip out of the glass midsection. Warm a stuck joint under the hot tap and twist rather than lever it.
2. Roll the o-rings off first: The high temp o-rings on the tip should come off before any solvent, since isopropyl dries them out. Wash them in warm soapy water instead.
3. Soak the glass and the tip: 15 to 30 minutes in 90 percent or stronger isopropyl, longer if the stem has gone opaque. Agitate the stem so the alcohol runs through the swirl rather than sitting in it.
4. Never soak the cap: A cotton bud on the inside is all it needs. Water trapped in the crimped end ruins the cap the next time you heat it, and DynaVap wants 24 hours of drying if it does get wet.
5. Work the tip's channels: The Helix tip has three convection ports and internal channels. A cotton bud will not reach them, so let the soak do it and rinse the tip through under hot water afterwards.
6. Clean or replace the CCD: Push it out from underneath with a blunt tool, never a sharp one, soak it separately, then press it back into the slot you want.
7. Rinse hot and dry completely: Alcohol left in the stem is a fire risk once the torch comes out. Wet the o-rings or use DynaWax before refitting the tip.

Care Tips for Better Results

• Never put a metal tool inside the Venturi stem. The swirl has thin sections and soaking is the only safe method.
• Note the CCD position before removing it. Low is the full bowl, high is the half bowl for microdosing.
• Keep abrasives off the DuraDyn finish on the tip. Metal polish or a baking soda paste lifts torch soot from the cap.
• The H2 does not fit a DynaStash, so store it somewhere padded rather than loose in a bag.

• Clean the glass before it goes fully opaque. Once resin has baked on in layers it takes repeated overnight soaks to shift.

The H2 is aimed at people who already know they like the DynaVap ritual and want the cleanest tasting version of it. Glass adds nothing of its own to the vapor, the Venturi swirl lengthens the path the vapor takes before it reaches your mouth, and the Helix tip is built for an even roast rather than raw output, so it reads as a flavor chaser's device more than a cloud one. At $99 with a $59 titanium tip in the box, it is also decent value against buying the tip and an American Helix stem separately, and it sits comfortably among analog vaporizers for anyone who does not want another battery to charge.

The trade-offs are the ones glass always brings. It is fragile, DynaVap's lifetime cover does not extend to glass stems, and the H2 does not fit a DynaStash or SlimStash, so you need your own case. There is no condenser and DynaVap does not list a water pipe taper on the stem, so airflow is fixed by the Venturi geometry rather than adjustable, and this is not the model to buy for a bong.
