How does The Wand heat a banger when nothing hot touches the glass?
Every Ispire cup has a piece of ferrous metal sealed between two walls of borosilicate, and the induction ring on top of The Wand induces heat in that metal through the glass. The ring stays cool and the concentrate only touches clean glass.
Which bangers and cups does The Wand work with?
Only Ispire's own sealed cups heat by induction, and the warranty excludes units run with unapproved aftermarket cups. Bangers and two packs of cups sell as separate items, which catches out owners replacing a banger. Angled and straight bangers fit most rigs with 14mm or 18mm female joints.
What temperature should I set for dabbing?
Ispire recommends roughly 710°F as a maximum, short of the 800°F ceiling, and the setting moves in 5°F steps. Most owners work between 450°F and 600°F, lower for rosin and sauce, higher for diamonds. Terpenes boil off well below that, as our terpene boiling points chart shows.
What batteries does The Wand take and how does it charge?
Two 18650 cells sit behind a door at the back, one of our vaporizers with replaceable batteries. Ispire shipped 2900mAh 20A cells and suggests 3000mAh to 3500mAh 30A cells with a minimum 15A CDR rating. USB-C charges them in place, though Ispire advises an external 18650 charger for a fuller charge.
Can The Wand be used with flower instead of concentrate?
Yes, using the bottomless flower cup Ispire sells for it, and the standard concentrate cup is listed as suitable for both. Plan on one heat cycle per bowl, since owners report the flower combusting when they run a second cycle.
How long do the cups last and what does the warranty cover?
Ispire treats the borosilicate cups as consumables with an expected life of around three months. The rim is the weak point, and owners report snapping the top ring off after a short drop or a firm scrub. The Wand carries a one year warranty; cups and accessories sold with it get 90 days.
The Wand Cleaning & Maintenance
The Wand never touches your concentrate. Heat is induced in a piece of ferrous metal sealed between two walls of borosilicate inside the inner cup, so all of the residue ends up in that cup, on the carb cap and in the banger below it, while the device itself stays cool enough that nothing bakes onto it. The part of the Wand that does get dirty is the heating ring on top, which slides over a sticky banger several times a session.
-
Swab the inner cup between dabs. At a sensible temperature there is very little to remove, and a cotton stick through the warm cup takes most of it. Ispire packs cotton sticks and alcohol pads with the larger Wand kits for exactly this.
-
Soak the glass when it clouds. The angled and straight bangers, both inner cups and the carb cap can all sit in isopropyl. Ispire's own advice for the banger cups is rubbing alcohol, dish soap and warm water. Rinse and dry every piece completely before it goes back on the rig.
-
Go gently on the cup rim. The lip of the inner cup is thin, and owners have snapped it off in one piece by leaning on it during a scrub or by working on it while it was still hot. Let the cup cool, use a swab rather than a tool, and keep a spare pair, since the cups are sold in twos and are cheap next to most banger replacements.
-
Wipe the induction area after every session. Ispire tells owners to clean it each time the Wand is used. Use a dry cloth or swab only, keep alcohol from running down inside the ring, and clear out ash and glass grit so the banger still seats square in it. The Wand body is never soaked or rinsed.
-
Burn off what a cold start leaves. Low temperature dabs leave a pool of oil in the cup, and Ispire's suggestion is to raise the temperature and vaporise the rest before you swab. Solventless extracts carry fats and lipids that char and leave more behind than live or cured resin does.
-
Keep the electrics dry. Two 18650 cells sit behind a door at the back, so wipe their contacts and the tray dry after any wet cleaning. Ispire specifies 3000mAh to 3500mAh cells rated 30A with a minimum 15A CDR. Keep lint and residue out of the USB-C port and clean the OLED window with a barely damp cloth.
