DynaVap The BB3

DynaVap The BB3

DynaVap The BB3 Overview

The DynaVap BB3 pairs a stainless steel M 7 tip and Captive Cap with a short glass midsection that holds three glass beads. The beads and the divots pressed into the bore add surface area, so vapor cools on its way to the mouth without a condenser being fitted. That drops the part count and makes the BB3 one of the cheaper ways into DynaVap's glass series, with a metal chamber rather than the all glass one used on the G3.

Key Features & Benefits of the DynaVap The BB3

PortableAnalogHybridBudgetGlassMicrodosing

The mouth end tapers to fit a 10mm female joint, so it seats straight into small glass without an adapter and works as a water pipe compatible vaporizer out of the box. Because the tip is a standard M 7, the bowl is the usual 0.1g with Adjust-a-Bowl, so moving the screen up halves it for microdosing. DynaVap sells it in grey, pink and blue, and the stem is short enough to fit a DynaStash or SlimStash.

DynaVap The BB3 FAQs

What do the three beads in the BB3 actually do?

They add surface area inside the stem. Vapor passes over the beads and the divots pressed into the bore, giving up heat before it reaches your mouth. That is why the BB3 needs no condenser, unlike an M series stem where the condenser tube does that job.

How is the BB3 different from the G3?

The G3 is a single piece of glass with the chamber and screen built in and a fixed 0.05g bowl. The BB3 uses a stainless steel M 7 tip in a glass stem, so it holds 0.1g, takes any DynaVap tip, and has a 10mm taper the G3 lacks. DynaVap prices them at $35 and $49.

Does the BB3 fit a water pipe?

Yes. The mouth end tapers for a 10mm female joint and drops in without an adapter. A 14mm joint needs a 10mm to 14mm glass adapter. Our guide to dry herb vaping with a water pipe covers joint sizes.

Can I make the BB3 bowl smaller?

Yes. It ships with a stainless M 7 tip, which uses Adjust-a-Bowl, so pushing the CCD screen up from the lower slot to the upper one halves the 0.1g chamber to roughly 0.05g. Nothing about the heating routine changes.

Which tips and caps fit the BB3 stem?

Any standard DynaVap tip, in stainless or titanium, and any cap that fits that tip. The Hyper Tip is the exception across the range. The stem is short enough to fit a DynaStash or SlimStash with the tip installed.

Can I use an induction heater with the BB3?

Yes. The tip and cap are metal and DynaVap's own instructions list a torch or induction heater, with the click arriving in roughly 5 to 7 seconds. That is a difference from the all glass G3, where DynaVap advises against induction.

What warranty covers the BB3?

Buying direct from DynaVap gives 90 days to return it. After that, the lifetime functional warranty specifically excludes glass stems, and DynaVap's own BB3 stem listing limits its cover to shipping damage reported within 48 hours of delivery. The stainless tip and cap are ordinary DynaVap parts.

DynaVap The BB3 Cleaning & Maintenance

The BB3 has no condenser, so everything the vapor gives up lands on the inside of the glass stem, on the three beads and in the divots that make it cool well in the first place. Those recesses are exactly where residue collects, and a loaded BB3 goes cloudy long before the draw feels restricted. The other spot is the stainless CCD screen under the M 7 tip's 0.1g bowl.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

  1. Let the tip cool: Wait for the cooldown click, then another minute before pulling anything apart.
  2. Empty and brush the bowl: Knock the spent material out of the tip and sweep the chamber so the CCD stays clear.
  3. Wipe the airport and the taper: A dry cotton bud over the airport, and a cloth over the 10mm taper so it still seats cleanly in glass.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

  1. Break it into three pieces: Slide the Captive Cap off, then pull the stainless tip out of the glass stem. If the tip feels stuck, warm the joint under the hot tap and twist rather than lever it.
  2. Roll the o-rings off first: There are two high temp o-rings on the tip. Isopropyl dries them out, so take them off, wash them in warm soapy water and set them aside.
  3. Soak the glass and the tip: 15 to 30 minutes in 90 percent or stronger isopropyl, or overnight for heavy build up. Hot water with dish soap does the same job more slowly. Agitate the stem so the alcohol works around the beads.
  4. Never soak the cap: Swab the inside with a cotton bud. Water caught in the crimped end damages the cap on the next heat cycle, and DynaVap asks for 24 hours of drying if one does get wet.
  5. Clear the beads and divots: A pipe cleaner will not reach into the recesses, so shake the stem in the solvent and repeat the soak rather than trying to scrape them.
  6. Deal with the CCD only when it clogs: Push it out from underneath with a blunt tool, soak it separately, then press it back into the slot you want. Stainless CCDs are wear items and DynaVap sells them in packs of three.
  7. Rinse hot and dry completely: Alcohol left in the stem is a fire risk once the torch comes out. Wet the o-rings or use DynaWax before refitting them.

Care Tips for Better Results

  • Note which slot the CCD sat in before removing it. Low is the full 0.1g bowl, high halves it for microdosing.
  • Never scrape the inside of the glass with a metal tool. Soaking is the only safe method here.
  • Store it in a DynaStash or SlimStash. The short stem fits either, and glass in a pocket does not end well.
  • A medium grind keeps the draw open. See our grind guide.
  • Metal polish or a baking soda paste lifts torch soot from the cap and tip. Keep abrasives off the glass.
  • Replace the high temp o-rings once the tip wobbles in the stem or the draw starts to whistle.

Learn More About DynaVap The BB3

The BB3 suits someone who wants glass in the airpath but not a glass chamber. The tip is the same stainless M 7 tip DynaVap fits to its mainstream devices, so extraction and bowl size match an M 7 while the beaded stem does the cooling that a condenser would normally handle. At $49 it lands between the G3 and the metal models on our portable budget vaporizers list, and the built in 10mm taper puts it on the water pipe compatible list without an adapter purchase.

The compromises follow from the material. Glass breaks, and DynaVap's lifetime cover does not extend to glass stems, so treat this as a device that lives at home or travels in a stash. The stem is short, which is good for storage but means the vapor path is brief and the draw runs warmer than a long condenser setup, something water filtration fixes if you are using it with glass. There is no condenser to slide either, so airflow adjustment is limited to covering the airport with a finger. If you want adjustable draw and a metal body, read our session vs on-demand guide and then compare it against the B2.
