Dr. Dabber Boost Evo FAQs

What do the six temperature settings do?

Three clicks of the power button step through purple 500°F, blue 550, cyan 600, green 650, orange 700 and white 750. Lower settings favor flavor, higher ones cloud size. Dr. Dabber advises staying at or below green unless you load large amounts, since high heat burns a small dab off fast.

How long does the Boost EVO eChamber last?

Four to twelve months, by Dr. Dabber's estimate. A replacement is a sealed assembly holding the heating element and temperature sensor, not just a quartz dish, so the unit needs recalibrating to it. Never soak one or heat it empty.

What do the blinking fault codes mean?

Three white blinks means no eChamber detected, three red means recalibration failed. Serial numbers starting 03 or higher add three pink and three orange, both pointing at the electrode contacts. Swab those with isopropyl before writing off the chamber; our error code guide covers the wider pattern.

When does the Boost EVO need recalibrating?

After any eChamber swap, and it clears most faults. Leave it off and unplugged for fifteen minutes so base and chamber match temperature, then click the button four times, holding the fourth. White blinks mean success, red means try again.

How many dabs does a charge give?

Dr. Dabber quotes 40 to 60 heating cycles and about an hour to charge. Pass through charging lets you dab while plugged in, but it will not charge from a high wattage adapter such as a laptop charger.

Does the Boost EVO come with a carb cap?

No. The kit covers the rig, quartz eChamber, glass attachment, quick connect adapter, USB-C cable, loading tool and case. A cap comes with the TDE glass, which also supplies the silicone seal that must replace the standard one on the adapter.

What does the Boost EVO warranty cover?

One year on the rig against defects, with the glass attachment and atomizer excluded, so the eChamber is a repeat purchase. Dr. Dabber no longer sells the rig but still stocks eChambers, glass and adapters.

Dr. Dabber Boost Evo Cleaning & Maintenance

Concentrate goes straight onto the bottom heating plate of the Boost Evo's quartz eChamber, so oil pools in the dish and creeps toward the magnetic contacts holding the chamber to the base. Above that, the quick connect adapter and the quartz to glass pathway collect condensate, and water from an overfilled glass attachment runs back down into the chamber.

  1. Swab the eChamber after every session: Dr. Dabber's advice is to mop leftover residue out with a dry cotton swab, then, while the quartz is still warm, use a swab dipped in isopropyl on any stubborn marks. Warm residue lifts far more easily than residue left to harden. Darkening of the quartz, called chazzing, is normal and does not hurt flavor or function.

  2. Wipe, do not soak: the manual permits up to 91 percent isopropyl on the atomizer and the glass, and up to 75 percent on the Boost Evo body and the quick connect adapter, but it is explicit that the atomizer, adapter and unit must never be fully submerged. Dry burning an empty eChamber is also out. Dr. Dabber asks for a small amount of oil in the dish whenever it heats.

  3. Strip the top down: the eChamber is held magnetically, so pull it straight up to lift it clear. Remove the glass attachment and quick connect adapter too, then clean residue in and around the chamber seat, the adapter and the loading tool with a swab or paper towel dipped in isopropyl. Let everything air dry fully.

  4. Shake the glass clean: fill the water attachment with isopropyl, shake hard until the marks lift, repeat if needed, then rinse thoroughly with water and air dry. Refill with water only just above the perc holes, since overfilling causes splashback into the eChamber. If you run a TDE attachment or carb cap, swap the adapter's standard silicone seal for the TDE seal packed with the glass, or the cap will not seal properly.

  5. Keep the electrodes clean: white, pink or orange triple blinks usually point at a dirty connection rather than a dead chamber. Swab the contacts on both the eChamber and the base with isopropyl. After fitting a fresh eChamber the unit needs recalibrating: leave it off and unplugged for fifteen minutes so both parts sit at room temperature, then click the button four times, holding on the fourth until the lights flash white.

The eChamber is a consumable, typically good for four to twelve months, and is excluded from the one year warranty. Replace it when the dish cracks, leaks or tastes burnt after a proper clean. For the battery, charge once it drops to a single LED and unplug at full.
