Tinymight 2 Black Edition

Tinymight 2 Black Edition

Tinymight 2 Black Edition Overview

The Tinymight 2 Black Edition is the 2026 revision of the Tinymight 2, still hand built in Helsinki by JTJS Products. The core is unchanged, so you get the same on-demand convection heater, the same analog dial on the base, heat up from about three seconds and the same swappable 18650 cell. What changed is everything around it. The oak body is finished black with anodised aluminium panels, the glass stem is replaced by polished black zirconia, and the cooling unit is now machined from a single piece of stainless steel.

Key Features & Benefits of the Tinymight 2 Black Edition

Three changes matter more than the colour. The zirconia stem heats far more slowly than glass or titanium, so the mouthpiece stays cooler through a long session and is much harder to break. The V2 cooling unit still slides to set chamber volume, but it cleans in one piece and works without o-rings if you want nothing synthetic in the vapor path. A stainless funnel now sits in the top panel, which lets you pour herb straight into the body rather than into the stem, keeping particles out of the air intakes and opening up loads of 0.3g and beyond. Tinymight also added boost to on-demand mode, where a second press after the ready buzz steps the temperature up for the last few draws, plus an inactivity shut off timer in session mode. The cell is a Molicel P30B rather than the P28A, and the packaging doubles as a travel case.

Tinymight 2 Black Edition FAQs

What is different between the Tinymight 2 Black Edition and the standard Tinymight 2?

Black finished oak with anodised aluminium panels, an 80mm polished zirconia stem in place of glass, a one piece stainless V2 cooling unit, a stainless funnel in the top panel for loading, a stainless lined air path, a double layer heater screen, a Molicel P30B cell, boost in on-demand mode and a session shut off timer. The heater and dial are unchanged.

Can I load herb directly into the body?

Yes, and this is new. Pour ground material through the funnel shaped retaining ring into the sleeve where the stem sits, then press it down with the stem, cooling unit pushed to the far end. It handles 0.3g and more, against roughly 0.05g to 0.2g in the stem chamber, but residue travels deeper so cleaning gets more frequent.

How does boost mode work?

In on-demand mode, hold the button until the unit buzzes to say it is ready, release, then immediately hold again. A double buzz confirms the boosted temperature. It is meant for the last draws of a load, so you can pull the remainder without turning the dial. Session mode already had boost on the earlier device.

Does the zirconia stem really run cooler?

It heats more slowly than glass or titanium, so it stays comfortable at the lips through back to back draws, and it is far harder to chip or break. The polished surface also wipes clean easily. The trade-off is cost, since a replacement zirconia stem is roughly €45.

Which batteries does the Tinymight 2 Black Edition take?

Any high quality high current 18650 rated for 20A continuous. It ships with a Molicel P30B, a step up from the P28A that came with the standard unit, and Tinymight also lists the P26A and P28A as approved. Charging is USB-C from any adapter supplying at least 2A, with a full charge in roughly 45 minutes on a PD charger.

Do standard Tinymight 2 parts fit the Black Edition?

Glass tubes, water pipe adapters, 3D cooling stems, dosing capsules and o-ring packs are all sold for both. The zirconia stem and V2 cooling unit are also sold separately, so an existing Tinymight 2 owner can buy just those two rather than a whole device.

Can I use it with a water pipe?

Yes. Tinymight sells 14mm and 18mm connection adapters plus a 3 in 1 adapter and a portable bubbler as accessories. Loading into the body rather than the stem suits water pipe use because it takes a bigger load. See our guide to dry herb vaping with a water pipe.

What does the warranty cover?

Three years from delivery, on the same terms as the standard Tinymight 2, and you need to register the unit. Wear parts such as the battery, tubes, screens, o-rings and pouch are excluded, and cover does not transfer to a second owner.

Tinymight 2 Black Edition Cleaning & Maintenance

Pure convection keeps the chamber tidier than a conduction oven, so residue collects further down the path instead: on the heater protector screen, inside the V2 cooling unit and along the bore of the zirconia stem. Airflow through the cooling unit is what fades first, and flavour follows it. Loading straight into the body through the funnel makes better vapor but pushes more material deeper into the unit, so pick that method and you need to clean more often.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

  1. Let it cool, then unload: Hold the unit upside down and pull the zirconia stem out so spent herb falls clear rather than into the intakes.
  2. Sweep the chamber: Use the multitool stowed in the top panel to clear the chamber and, if you loaded into the body, the sleeve below the funnel.
  3. Wipe the stem: The polished zirconia bore wipes clean with a swab or cloth, which is most of what it ever needs.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

  1. Take the cooling unit out: Unscrew the tube holder ring at the top panel by hand, then slide the V2 cooling unit out of the stem. It is one piece of stainless steel, so there are no screws or nuts to lose.
  2. Soak the stem and steel parts: The zirconia stem and the cooling unit take hot water with a little detergent, or a few minutes in isopropyl alcohol of 91 percent or higher. Rinse and dry fully before refitting.
  3. Keep the o-rings out of alcohol: Tinymight is explicit that isopropyl degrades them. Wipe them with a damp cloth instead. The V2 cooling unit will also run with no o-rings at all if you would rather leave them out.
  4. Check the heater screen: The double layer screen sits in the internal barrel tube and is designed to be replaced rather than fought with. Swap in the spare from the parts kit once it clogs or deforms.
  5. Keep liquid out of the heater: Nothing wet should travel past the tube holder. Never lift the glass lining around the heating element, because the heater comes with it and is very hard to reseat.

Care Tips for Better Results

  • A medium fine grind keeps the air moving without dusting the screen. See our grind guide.
  • Do the cooling unit more often than anything else. It is the part that quietly tightens the draw.
  • Fit the correct o-ring sizes on reassembly. Two of the same size and the cooling unit either falls out or will not go in.
  • The oak body only wants a wipe. Tinymight sells beeswax to feed the wood.
  • If vapor thins out, pull the cell and polish the contact on the battery lid before assuming the heater is at fault.
  • For general technique, read our guide on how to clean a dry herb vaporizer.

Learn More About Tinymight 2 Black Edition

The Black Edition suits someone who already knows they want a pure convection portable and is buying for the long term. Nothing about the heater or the dial has changed, so it still does the two things the line is known for: a draw ready in about three seconds and vapor that keeps its terpene character to the end of the load. The replaceable 18650 means a flat cell is a ten second swap rather than the end of the evening, which matters if you are out for the day or vaping heavily. Loading straight into the body through the new funnel takes 0.3g and up, so it now covers group sessions as well as it covers microdosing in the stem.

The trade-offs are cost and technique. It is around 20 percent dearer than the standard Tinymight 2 for changes that are mostly about durability and cleaning rather than vapor quality, so existing owners can buy the zirconia stem and V2 cooling unit separately instead. There is no screen, only an analog dial and haptic buzzes, which takes a session or two to learn. Full convection also rewards a slow, long pull, so read how to inhale from a dry herb vaporizer and our temperature guide before deciding the dial is set wrong. If you would rather have a screen and a fixed battery, compare it against the rest of our premium vaporizers list.
