Tinymight 2

Because the Tinymight 2 is pure convection, the herb chamber itself stays relatively tidy and the residue collects further along the path: on the mesh screen the load sits on, and inside the cooling unit that slides within the glass tube. Airflow through that cooling unit is what drops off first, and flavour follows it.

1. Cool down and unload: Let the unit cool completely, then hold it upside down and pull the glass tube out. Clear spent herb from the chamber with the multitool that stows in the body.

2. Wash the tube: The 55mm glass tube and the 80mm titanium tube can both be rinsed in hot water with a little detergent, or submerged in isopropyl alcohol of 91% or higher for a few minutes. Rinse and dry fully before refitting.

3. Open the cooling unit: Unscrew the threaded tube holder ring at the front panel with your fingers, then take out the red o-ring and the metal insert. The stainless steel parts take the same isopropyl soak as the glass.

4. Keep o-rings out of solvent: The manual is explicit that o-rings must not go into isopropyl, which degrades them. Wipe them with a damp cloth instead. On reassembly, remember the cooling unit uses two sizes, roughly 10mm and 11mm. Fit two of the same size and it either slides out on its own or will barely go in at all.

5. Check the screen: Remove the mesh screen with its stainless holder and soak it, or fit one of the spares once the mesh clogs or deforms. A screen must never be run loose outside its holder. This is also why Tinymight warns against third party dosing capsules: they can push the screen down onto the heater, short it, and scorch the whole load.

6. Keep liquid out of the heater: Nothing wet should travel past the tube holder. Never try to lift the lower glass lining that surrounds the heating element, because the heater comes out with it and is very hard to reseat.

Heavy daily users should run this weekly, lighter users can stretch to a fortnight, and the cooling unit is worth doing more often than everything else.

The wooden body only wants a wipe, and Tinymight sells beeswax to feed it. If vapour production tails off, pull the 18650 and polish the contact point on the battery lid until it is shiny again, and keep a trace of oil on the lid threads so they do not seize. Do not loosen the big screw at the base to refresh contacts. That fix belongs to the original Tinymight and will permanently damage a Tinymight 2.
