Is the Medivape Ultra the same device as the XVape Avant?
Yes. The Medivape+ Ultra is an Australian rebadge of Topgreen's hardware, and its own manual repeats the XVape Avant manual almost line for line, down to the same spec table and warranty text. Vaporizers Direct even sends Medivape Ultra warranty claims to Topgreen's support address. That is why Avant screens and mouthpieces are the same parts.
What are the five temperature settings on the Medivape Ultra?
They are 180, 190, 200, 210 and 220 degrees Celsius, printed down the body beside the five LEDs, so the lit dot tells you where you are. Press and hold the power button for about three seconds to step up. The manual calls one dot light vapour and four dots dense vapour.
Where do I buy replacement screens and mouthpieces in Australia?
Australian sellers stock them under the Medivape name, not the XVape one. Vaporizers Direct lists a Medivape Ultra mesh screen pack and a replacement mouthpiece, The Bong Shop sells the mouthpiece, and Dry Herb Vaporizers has listed a spare pack covering both the chamber screen and the mouthpiece screen.
Does the Medivape Ultra vibrate when it is ready?
No, it signals only through the LED column: battery level when you switch it on with three clicks, the temperature setting while it heats, and a rapid flash when the battery is low. Wait for the light to go solid before drawing. It shuts off 3.5 minutes after power on, not after your first inhale.
Can I use concentrates in the Medivape Ultra?
Treat it as dry herb only. Australian retailers sell it as a dry herb vaporizer, the kit has no concentrate pad, and the oven is a shallow ceramic cup with a mesh screen in the base.
What happens if I let the battery go flat?
The manual warns that once the cell drops below 2 percent it will no longer accept a charge, and the battery is internal, so there is no swapping it. Charge over USB-C from a 5V/1A supply and nothing stronger.
Medivape Ultra Cleaning & Maintenance
The Ultra loads about 0.9ml of ground herb into a small ceramic cup, and every draw pulls vapour straight up through a mesh filter set into the magnetic cap above it. That filter clogs long before the oven looks bad, so a draw that has gone tight is usually the mouthpiece screen rather than the chamber. Australian sellers list the Ultra's spare mouthpiece and screen pack as the XVape Avant parts, since Waterfall built the device on that platform, so the Avant instruction sheet is the closest thing it has to an official cleaning procedure.
-
Let it cool before touching anything: The manual warns twice against handling the heating chamber straight after use. Power down with three clicks of the button and give the ceramic a few minutes.
-
Empty the oven with the packing tool: Pull the magnetic cap off to expose the chamber, then clear the spent load out with the packing tool from the kit. Doing this while the material is still warm stops it setting hard against the cup walls.
-
Brush the ceramic cup: The included brush covers routine cleaning. Work the bristles around the sides and base of the oven, then across the chamber screen in the bottom of it. For anything more stubborn, XVape's own guidance for this chamber is a cotton bud dipped in isopropyl and wiped around the walls, never liquid poured into the oven.
-
Treat the two screens separately: There is a chamber screen in the base of the oven and a second mesh filter inside the mouthpiece, and spares come as a pack of two of each. Both lift out and can soak in isopropyl until the residue releases, then be rinsed and dried completely before going back.
-
Soak the mouthpiece off the device: The cap detaches entirely, so it can sit in isopropyl for a few minutes with a gentle swirl, then be rinsed in water. Dry it fully before refitting it.
-
Keep liquid away from the body: The manual is explicit that the unit itself must never be submerged or cleaned with water or isopropyl. A damp cloth on the outside is the limit, and the airflow hole on the side of the body and the charging port both need to stay dry.
Run one empty heat cycle at the top setting after any alcohol clean, before loading again. For the battery, charge from a 5V/1A supply and nothing stronger, and do not leave the Ultra sitting flat for weeks, since the manual warns that a cell allowed below two percent will not accept a charge again. Nothing other than the mouthpiece and the packing tool is meant to come apart.
