Medivape Ultra

The Ultra loads about 0.9ml of ground herb into a small ceramic cup, and every draw pulls vapour straight up through a mesh filter set into the magnetic cap above it. That filter clogs long before the oven looks bad, so a draw that has gone tight is usually the mouthpiece screen rather than the chamber. Australian sellers list the Ultra's spare mouthpiece and screen pack as the XVape Avant parts, since Waterfall built the device on that platform, so the Avant instruction sheet is the closest thing it has to an official cleaning procedure.

1. Let it cool before touching anything: The manual warns twice against handling the heating chamber straight after use. Power down with three clicks of the button and give the ceramic a few minutes.

2. Empty the oven with the packing tool: Pull the magnetic cap off to expose the chamber, then clear the spent load out with the packing tool from the kit. Doing this while the material is still warm stops it setting hard against the cup walls.

3. Brush the ceramic cup: The included brush covers routine cleaning. Work the bristles around the sides and base of the oven, then across the chamber screen in the bottom of it. For anything more stubborn, XVape's own guidance for this chamber is a cotton bud dipped in isopropyl and wiped around the walls, never liquid poured into the oven.

4. Treat the two screens separately: There is a chamber screen in the base of the oven and a second mesh filter inside the mouthpiece, and spares come as a pack of two of each. Both lift out and can soak in isopropyl until the residue releases, then be rinsed and dried completely before going back.

5. Soak the mouthpiece off the device: The cap detaches entirely, so it can sit in isopropyl for a few minutes with a gentle swirl, then be rinsed in water. Dry it fully before refitting it.

6. Keep liquid away from the body: The manual is explicit that the unit itself must never be submerged or cleaned with water or isopropyl. A damp cloth on the outside is the limit, and the airflow hole on the side of the body and the charging port both need to stay dry.

Run one empty heat cycle at the top setting after any alcohol clean, before loading again. For the battery, charge from a 5V/1A supply and nothing stronger, and do not leave the Ultra sitting flat for weeks, since the manual warns that a cell allowed below two percent will not accept a charge again. Nothing other than the mouthpiece and the packing tool is meant to come apart.
