DaVinci MIQRO

The MIQRO drops the flavor chamber used on DaVinci's IQ models for a slim removable zirconia ceramic tube, so nearly all of the resin here collects in two spots: inside that tube, and at the junction where it meets the top of the ceramic oven. The 0.3g chamber is small enough that a fine grind packs hard against the pearl, so airflow tightens well before the device looks dirty.

1. Empty the oven with the pick: Let the unit cool, flip open the bottom lid and use the pick tool stored under the top lid to scrape out spent material. Tapping the body alone leaves a ring of debris stuck to the zirconia lining.

2. Brush after every session: DaVinci's advice for the MIQRO is to sweep the heating chamber with the included brush each time you finish, which keeps the deeper cleans quick.

3. Unscrew the pearl: The pearl is a zirconia ball on a threaded post in the oven lid, seated on a small gasket, and it screws in and out to halve the chamber volume. Wipe it with an alcohol wipe while the device is still warm but not fresh off a session, since warm resin releases more easily than cold.

4. Pull the vapor path: Lift the top lid, remove the mouthpiece and separate its silicone gasket. Insert the pick into the vapor path and lift the zirconia tube out.

5. Soak the zirconia parts: Drop the vapor path and mouthpiece into 91% or stronger isopropyl for ten minutes, or leave them overnight if the tube is heavily clogged. Run a pipe cleaner through from both ends, rinse under warm water and air dry fully. Never use dish soap or household cleaner on these parts.

6. Wipe silicone, do not soak it: The mouthpiece gasket, pearl gasket and 10mm water pipe adapter cloud, swell and stop sealing after long alcohol exposure. Wipe them and rinse.

7. Swab the oven and lid: Cotton buds dampened with isopropyl clean the oven walls, the underside of the flip lid and the loading area around the pearl post. Never submerge the body, which houses the heater and the 18350 cell.

8. Dry, reassemble, burn off: Refit nothing while damp. Once dry, run the MIQRO at a high temperature for a minute with an empty chamber to clear any alcohol before loading.

Light users can run this full strip once or twice a month. Pull the 18350 battery occasionally and check the compartment for loose plant matter and the contacts for dull spots, wiping both with a dry swab. Keep the accessory kit's spare pearl gasket on hand, since a flattened one lets the pearl work loose in the lid.
