Performance

The Universal Baller delivers superior thermal extraction through its ball vaporizer design. The wireless configuration operates between 490°F - 610°F, while the wired setup provides 400°F - 570°F temperature range. The 1000 ruby balls create exceptional thermal mass, ensuring consistent vapor production and efficient heat transfer. For the full picture on how a heated ball bed produces this kind of density, see our guide on what is a ball vape.

The 25mm x 30mm 200W enail coil provides rapid heating, while the wireless handle offers untethered convenience. The 22mm hybrid bowl with its glass top and 18mm joint makes it compatible with most water pipes and glass pieces. The all-glass vapor path ensures pure flavor, earning recognition among best vaporizers for flavor chasers.

Design and Construction

Built with premium materials, the Universal Baller features your choice of titanium or stainless steel housing for durability and heat resistance. The quartz components ensure clean vapor paths, while the laboratory fritted disc provides optimal airflow distribution.

The modular design allows users to customize their experience - use with the quartz insert for a glass-forward vapor path, or remove it for direct ruby ball contact. The wireless docking station keeps everything organized and ready for use.

Universal Baller FAQs

What does universal mean on the Universal Baller?

It means configurations, not cross-brand parts. Terp Chasers Club says the PID controller and coils use Crossing Tech wiring and will not work with other setups. The stock heater is a 25mm x 30mm 200W enail coil.

What are the four modes?

Wireless quartz convection, wireless metal convection, wired quartz conduction and wired metal conduction. The quartz insert forms the all glass air path, and removing it leaves the bare titanium chamber. Run 490°F to 610°F wireless and 400°F to 570°F wired, the latter after a 15 to 45 second heat soak.

Why do I have rubies left over?

The kit includes 1000 2mm rubies because the metal chamber takes the full load, while wireless quartz mode needs only 500. Spares remain after a titanium build. The optional snap rings hold the metal screen so rubies cannot spill.

Is the ruby insert kit better than the fritted disc?

The quartz insert takes one disc at a time, fritted or high airflow, never both. The Ruby Insert Upgrade Kit replaces that liner and disc with a ruby liner and two ruby discs, which Terp Chasers Club says heat faster. Rinse and dry them first.

What joint sizes does the hybrid bowl fit?

The kit ships the 22mm hybrid bowl, a full glass top on an 18mm joint. The complete set adds micro dose and third party tops with 10mm, 14mm and 18mm joints, covering most water pipes, and each joint has an embedded herb catcher.

What does the vortex adapter set do?

It turns a Universal Baller into a heated bowl for 22mm diffusers, so two heated units stack and vapor passes through both. It needs a second working kit, two current quartz inserts, and no fritted disc inside.

What is covered if the housing seizes?

Terp Chasers Club lists a two year warranty on the PID controller and coil. Quartz, glass and damage from force are not covered. A paid repair service handles stuck housings, damaged threads and normal wear within five to seven days of arrival.

Universal Baller Cleaning & Maintenance

Herb never touches the ruby bed in a Universal Baller, so what dirties one is vapor travelling the wrong way: anything left in the piece gets pushed back up through the bowl and settles on the quartz fritted disc and inside the quartz insert. Terp Chasers Club says daily use needs very little cleaning if you carb your hits and avoid overpacking, and most of the maintenance is about getting the device apart without cracking quartz.

  1. Use a pass through, or lift the housing. The manufacturer's advice is to fit a pass through bowl, or lift the housing off before you finish the pull, so unpulled vapor is never driven back up through the disc. That habit keeps the disc and the rubies clear.

  2. Loosen the threads hot, disassemble cold. Before you switch the PID off, and after at least five minutes at temperature, use round tip pliers to gently back the threading off half a turn, then let it cool and finish taking it apart. Never grip the threads, and never force it: Terp Chasers is explicit that force damages the quartz and voids the warranty. They sell a repair service for stuck housings and damaged threads.

  3. Clean the hybrid bowl and its joint. The bowl is a Gr2 titanium body with a glass top, full size or microdose, on a 10mm, 14mm or 18mm glass joint. The joint has an embedded herb catcher that spares your water pipe, so it loads up first. 99 percent isopropyl and a pointed swab clear both; rinse in warm water and dry.

  4. Take the o-rings out before soaking. Two o-rings seal the bowl stack and sell as a replacement pair. Lift them clear for an iso soak, and swap them once a joint stops sitting tight.

  5. Soak the rubies only when they need it. 1000 2mm rubies fill the metal chamber, 500 in wireless quartz mode. Concentrates on top of the housing, or a bowl that keeps backing up, will darken them. Tip them out cold, soak in isopropyl, then rinse and dry them fully, the same rinse and dry Terp Chasers asks for before the ruby insert upgrade goes in. The three SS316 screens and the SS304 snap rings can share the jar; use the round tip pliers on the rings so nothing is scratched.

  6. Nothing wet near the electrics. Slide the housing clear of the 25mm 200W coil before liquid goes near it, and wipe the docking station down rather than rinsing it.

The glass screen at the top doubles as a readiness window: darkened rubies mean the head is at temperature. When you cannot see them clearly, the insert is due a clean.
