How much herb does the HyperDyn's Hyper Tip hold?
DynaVap rates it at an average of 0.25g, against roughly 0.1g for an M series tip. There are no adjust-a-bowl slots, so the CCD sits in one position and the bowl cannot be shortened. A Hyper dosing capsule of about 0.12g comes in the box.
Will my existing DynaVap caps and tips fit the HyperDyn?
Only partly. The Hyper Cap grips one of three fins on the Hyper Tip, and the Hyper Tip takes only the Hyper Cap or Thermal Hyper Cap, so an M cap will not fit. Everything below the tip is standard, and the Hyper Tip fits every DynaVap midsection.
Does the HyperDyn take longer to heat than an M?
Yes. DynaVap's comparison puts it at around 15 seconds of torch time against 10 to 12 seconds for the M 7, since the cap and tip carry more mass. DynaVap recommends a two or three flame torch, not a single flame lighter.
Can I use an induction heater with the HyperDyn?
Yes. DynaVap publishes a HyperDyn heating guide for the Ispire Wand, whose silicone adapter fits every DynaVap cap including the larger Hyper Cap. Seat it deeper for a cooler click, and set the wand higher than usual so it does not time out first.
How does the seven position airflow work?
Airflow is set by how deep the titanium condenser sits inside the Hyper mouthpiece, which has seven positions machined into it. The joint between the Hyper Tip and Hyper Cap shifts airflow as well, so the two interact.
Does the HyperDyn need an adapter for a water pipe?
No. The stem carries both a 10mm and a 14mm taper, so it seats straight into most joints without the adapter an M series stem needs. See our guide on water pipe use.
Can I use concentrates in the HyperDyn?
No. The DynaCoil adapter that replaces the CCD in other DynaVap tips is listed by DynaVap as not compatible with the Hyper Tip, so this chamber is dry herb only.
Dynavap The HyperDyn Cleaning & Maintenance
The Hyper Tip holds around 0.25g, roughly three times the chamber of an M series tip, so one HyperDyn bowl pushes far more vapor past the titanium CCD screen and down the condenser than any other DynaVap. Residue builds fastest in two spots: the screen at the base of the chamber, and the outside of the telescoping condenser tube, where a film of resin makes the seven airflow detents inside the Hyper mouthpiece stiff and vague.

Brush the chamber out after every session. With a bowl this size a quick sweep with a dry brush stops the CCD from loading up between deep cleans.

Take it apart in order. Pull the Hyper Cap off the tip (it is a captive fit, not threaded), slide the tip out of the HyperDyn stem, withdraw the condenser assembly, and unsnap the Hyper mouthpiece from the condenser. The mouthpiece joint uses no o-ring, so nothing should resist.

Roll the o-rings off first. There are two on the tip and two on the condenser. DynaVap warns that alcohol degrades the rubber over time, so set them aside, rinse them in warm water, and refit them damp or with a little DynaWax.

Soak the titanium parts. The tip, stem, condenser tube and dosing capsule take 15 to 30 minutes in 90 percent or higher isopropyl, or warm soapy water. Floss a pipe cleaner through the condenser bore, then rinse everything in warm water and dry it completely.

Never soak the Hyper Cap. Swab the inside with a cotton bud and isopropyl instead. Moisture trapped in the crimped end can ruin the cap when you next heat it, so if it does get wet, leave it 24 hours. Blue and purple scorch marks are patina, and metal polish or a baking soda and vinegar paste lifts them.

Clean or replace the CCD. Push it out from underneath with the condenser tube, never a sharp tool, soak it, then press it back in flat and evenly. The Hyper Tip has no adjust-a-bowl slots, so the screen sits in one position only.

Adjust the cap fit the Hyper way. Do not squeeze it oval like an M cap. Flex the digger-outer slightly outward to loosen and inward to tighten, in very small increments, so its captivation bump grips one of the three fins on the tip.
Deep clean every week or two with heavy use, monthly otherwise, and wipe the 10mm and 14mm taper so the stem still seats cleanly in glass.
