AirVape Legacy CORE

AirVape Legacy CORE Overview
The Legacy CORE, which AirVape also calls the AirVape CORE, takes the heating system, 24K gold-plated chamber, removable glass airpath and ONEPath cleaning shaft of the Legacy PRO 2 and puts them in a simpler, more colourful body. The colour display is replaced by a column of seven LEDs, each one a preset temperature from 180 to 240C, so there is nothing to scroll through. Released in early 2026, it costs a good deal less than the PRO 2 and comes in white, rose gold and green with swappable fabric skins.
Key Features & Benefits of the AirVape Legacy CORE
Like the PRO 2, it runs on a removable 3200mAh 18650, heats in 15 to 30 seconds with a vibration when ready, and takes a wax pad insert for concentrates on the top heat level. What you give up is the screen, wireless charging and the adjustable shut-off timer, which is fixed at four minutes here.

Is the AirVape CORE the same as the Legacy CORE?
Yes. AirVape lists it as the Legacy CORE and refers to it as the CORE in its own videos and accessory listings. It is the third current model in the Legacy line alongside the Legacy PRO 2 and the older Legacy PRO.
What is the difference between the Legacy CORE and the Legacy PRO 2?
The heating system, gold-plated chamber, removable glass airpath, ceramic mouthpiece, ONEPath cleaning shaft and 3200mAh 18650 battery are shared. The CORE swaps the PRO 2's colour display for seven LED heat levels, drops wireless charging, fixes the shut-off timer at four minutes and adds swappable fabric skins. AirVape sells it for $155 against $229 for the PRO 2.
What are the seven heat levels on the Legacy CORE?
From the bottom LED up: 180C (356F), 190C (374F), 200C (392F), 210C (410F), 220C (428F), 230C (446F) and 240C (464F). The top level lights red and is the wax mode. Press the power button three times to turn the unit on, then use the up and down buttons to move between levels. It vibrates when the chamber is ready.
How do you vape concentrates in the Legacy CORE?
Drop the included wax pad insert into the cooled chamber, put a small amount of wax on the pad, turn the device on with three clicks and press up until the top red LED is lit. The pad is for waxy concentrates only, not e-liquid. Take the pad out once the chamber cools so residue does not bake into the next flower session.
Why does the Legacy CORE switch itself off?
The safety shut-off runs for four minutes and cannot be changed, unlike the PRO 2's three, five or ten minute options. Press the power button three times to start a fresh session. Charge with the supplied USB-C cable only, as there is no wireless charging on this model.
How do the Legacy CORE skins work?
The front and back panels are fabric skins that pull off and swap. The device ships with black skins, and AirVape sells fabric texture, signature and artist edition sets, plus a custom studio where you upload your own design. They are cosmetic only and do not affect heating or airflow.
Do Legacy PRO 2 accessories fit the Legacy CORE?
Most do. The ceramic mouthpiece, longer mouthpiece, replacement screens, airpath disc, glass tube and the four-pack accessory kit are all listed for the PRO 2 and CORE together. Dosing capsules, the wax pad and replacement 18650 batteries fit every Legacy model. The removable door is listed for the PRO 2 only.
What does the Legacy CORE warranty cover?
Register on AirVape's site within 30 days of buying from AirVape or an authorised reseller and the limited lifetime warranty covers the unit for defects in materials and workmanship. The battery and consumables are excluded, each repair carries a $19.99 shipping and handling fee, and the warranty is void on units bought from unauthorised sellers.

AirVape Legacy CORE Cleaning & Maintenance
Residue on the CORE gathers in the same two places as on the PRO 2: the gold-plated chamber behind the clamshell door, and the removable glass tube that carries vapor up to the ceramic mouthpiece. AirVape's ONEPath layout keeps that run straight, which is why maintenance is quick. The fabric skins are the one part that needs a different approach.
Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)
- Let it cool before opening the chamber: The manual warns the unit is hot after use and the chamber should be left until it cools.
- Empty and brush the chamber: Tap out spent herb and sweep the chamber with the short brush from the kit.
- Check the filter screen: Brush the screen at the base of the mouthpiece so the draw stays open.
Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)
- Run the ONEPath shaft: Open the silicone hatch beside the mouthpiece and push the long brush down the cleaning shaft all the way to the magnetic airpath filter.
- Pull the glass airpath: Lift the glass tube out and soak it in isopropyl alcohol along with the filter screen and the magnetic airpath filter. Rinse and dry fully before refitting. Note the order of the silicone parts so the assembly seals again.
- Swab the chamber: Wipe the chamber walls and holes with a cotton swab dampened in alcohol, keeping the pressure light. The 24K plating can lift under scrubbing or abrasives.
- Clean under the airpath disc: Twist the gold disc out and clear the resin that collects beneath it. Replacement discs are sold for the PRO 2 and CORE.
- Wipe the mouthpiece: Separate the silicone tip, ceramic mouthpiece and rubber adapter. Alcohol is fine on the ceramic, warm soapy water on the silicone and rubber.
Care Tips for Better Results
- Remove the wax pad after concentrate sessions rather than leaving it in the chamber.
- Keep alcohol and water away from the fabric skins. Pull them off and brush or spot-clean them dry, and wipe the body underneath with a prep pad only.
- Pull the 18650 now and then to wipe its contacts, and remember the warranty covers the unit but not the cell.
- Dosing capsules keep the chamber almost spotless between deep cleans.
- For general technique, see our guide on how to clean a dry herb vaporizer.
Learn More About AirVape Legacy CORE
The CORE makes sense for someone who liked the idea of the Legacy PRO 2 but not the price, or who simply does not want a screen. Seven fixed levels in 10 degree steps cover the useful range for flower, from a flavour-first 180C up to 230C, and the top level doubles as a wax mode, so it is an easy pick for beginners and for anyone who wants one device for both materials. The gold airpath disc that shrinks the chamber carries over from the PRO 2, which keeps it useful for microdosing, and the swappable 18650 means a spare cell rather than a wall outlet keeps you going.
The trade-offs are the ones you would expect at the price: no wireless charging, no precise temperature readout and a session timer fixed at four minutes, which suits session vaping but not long lazy draws. The ONEPath hatch and removable glass tube make it one of the easier hybrids to clean. For background, our guides on convection vs conduction, what temperature to vape flower and vaporizer battery life cover the basics.
