Heat-up is quick, roughly 22 seconds, and a shake of the device confirms the four heat modes.The oven supports both the standard lid and a half-pack lid for smaller loads. Airflow feels freer than older compact Pax models, and extraction stays consistent so long as the bowl is packed firmly against the conduction heater.

How It Heats and Operates
The Mini uses a conduction heater with four preset modes shown by the LED "X." Tap the button to step through modes, then shake to lock one in. Warm-up sits just over 20 seconds, and an eight-minute session timer keeps the device from running too long if you set it down between draws.
Battery and Charging

PAX Mini Cleaning & Maintenance
Keeping the PAX Mini clean is quick if you do light maintenance after each session and a deeper rinse every few outings.
- Let the device cool completely. Pop off the oven lid (standard or half-pack) and empty the bowl.
- Brush the oven walls and vapor path to clear loose material. A gentle tap on the palm helps knock the screen free if it is sticky.
- Remove the screen and soak it in isopropyl alcohol for 10-15 minutes, then rinse and let it dry.
- Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl and wipe the oven walls and the inside of the lid. Avoid soaking the lid—keep it to a light wipe.
- Reinstall the dry screen and lid. Run a short empty heat cycle to burn off any leftover alcohol before loading fresh material.
