AirVape Enso FAQs

What can you put in the AirVape Enso besides herbal molasses?

The ceramic cups take loose leaf: drop a mesh screen in the base and pack up to 3 grams. An optional gold plated flower cup holds up to 1.5 grams, and wax pad inserts are sold separately for concentrates.

How does the Enso thermodial work?

It is a continuous dial rather than presets, each gradation worth 5°C across a 180°C to 330°C range. AirVape says to start at 180°C, heat for five to eight minutes, then climb in 15°C to 30°C steps, allowing 30 to 60 seconds for each change to take effect. Our temperature guide covers where to aim.

What is G-Mode on the Enso?

Press the thermodial three times and the LED turns green. Regular mode adds 70°C or more during the five minute preheat, while G-Mode drops that boost and spreads power more evenly to offset cooling from frequent draws, for more intense vapor at higher settings.

Can you use the Enso while it is charging?

Yes, as long as the battery is seated and has a minimal charge. Charging through the USB-C port on the battery is faster than through the unit, and a full charge takes up to 3.5 hours.

Why does the Enso draw so freely?

The thermocap is open unless you fit the rubber heat valve into it, which AirVape recommends for herb mode. Packing matters too: pack the cup tightly, then poke airways through the holes in its base with the poking tool.

Does the lifetime warranty cover the Enso battery?

No. Apollo's limited lifetime warranty covers the unit only, and registration within 30 days is required. Battery replacement costs the $24.99 shipping and handling fee inside six months, and $39.99 after that.

Should you buy the Enso or the Legacy PRO 2?

They do different jobs. The Legacy PRO 2 is a pocket portable with hybrid heating, while the Enso is a 2.55 kg tabletop unit with a 200 mL water tank and 1.5 metre hose, built for sessions of up to 45 minutes.

AirVape Enso Cleaning & Maintenance

Vapor travels a long way through the Enso before you taste it: out of the packed cup, down the vaporshaft into the glass water tank, back up through the airpath tubes and along a 1.5 metre hose. Residue settles at every handover, and because this is a shared session device rather than a pocket vaporizer, it settles fast.

  1. Empty the cup while it is still warm: AirVape asks you to tip out the ceramic or disposable cup as soon as it has cooled enough to be safe to touch. Once the unit has been switched on, lift any cup with the cup removal tool: the cup and chamber rim both get hot enough to burn.

  2. Soak the ceramic cups: after emptying, leave them in warm water for at least 30 minutes. Then run the scrub tool through: press the brushfit slider down over the brush head so it fits inside the cup, drop it in, lift the slider back and twist. The screen mesh that sits in the base of the cup for loose leaf soaks alongside it. Disposable cups are consumables, so replace them.

  3. Scrub the heating chamber: let the unit cool fully before any water goes near it. Later kits ship a 3 in 1 multi-tool and a wiremesh cleaning glove, so slide the tool's metal plate into the glove, insert it and rotate. Earlier kits use the same scrub tool as the cups, pushed to the bottom of the chamber with the slider released. Pouring warm water into the chamber first loosens the residue.

  4. Brush the air path: the long brush handles the vaporshaft with warm water in an up and down motion. The short brush does the vaporhose stem, in and out, plus each of the small airpath tubes beside the chamber opening individually.

  5. Unscrew the mouthpiece: the mouthpiece stem separates from the stainless steel mouthpiece and both take the short brush. Swap the silicone tips and the mouthpiece guard rather than scrubbing them.

  6. Rinse the blowout valve every session or two: AirVape recommends pulling it out and rinsing it with water after one or two uses. It can also be swapped for a second vaporhose for two hose use.

  7. Strip the water base: the dip tube and watershield pull straight out of the rubber housing. Twist the glass tank off, wash it and refill with cold water to the level indicator.

Neither edition of the Enso manual sanctions isopropyl anywhere. Every instruction is warm water and a brush, so keep alcohol out of the heating chamber and the battery bay. Charge through the USB-C port on the battery itself rather than through the unit, which is slower, and keep the battery out of direct sun.
