Vapman Click

Residue on the Vapman Click collects in three places: the gold plated pan, the filter above it, and the brass air nozzles that feed the chamber. The wooden shell and, on Classic models, the mica heat shield are the two parts to leave alone. Vapman's own advice is to open the device by twisting to the right, clip off the filter, and soak the metal parts.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

1. Rub the filter while it is still warm: Twist the middle section off, tip out the spent herb and rub the filter against a cloth before the device cools. Residue shifts far more easily warm than cold.
2. Brush the pan: A natural bristle brush is enough between bowls and keeps the gold surface visible rather than tarred over.
3. Check the air hole: Make sure the air hole in the centre section is clear so the draw stays open when the mouthpiece is twisted fully round.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

1. Take the metal parts apart: Undo the small screws holding the filter and separate the metal components from the wood. Vapman recommends a deep clean roughly every couple of weeks under heavy use.
2. Soak the metal in isopropyl alcohol: Filter, screens and the centre section can sit in alcohol until the residue lifts, then get rinsed in warm water and dried completely.
3. Wipe the pan rather than soaking it: Use a cotton bud damp with alcohol on the gold plated pan. Repeated harsh scrubbing and severe overheating are what wear the plating.
4. Clear the brass nozzles with a needle: These feed fresh air into the chamber and keep butane fumes out of the draw. Clear them mechanically, not with solvent.
5. Clean the mouthpiece to match its material: The black POM mouthpiece and its inox helix spiral can be soaked in alcohol or hot water. Wooden mouthpieces get a dry wipe only.

Care Tips for Better Results

• Heat in short bursts up to the click rather than one long burn. Less scorched residue and a longer life for the plating.
• Load the pan level with the rim at most. An overpacked pan restricts airflow and will not extract properly. See our grind guide.

• Concentrate use fouls the screen quickly, so plan on cleaning after every couple of loads rather than every couple of weeks.
