The Neo is a convection device, so a clear air path matters more than a spotless oven. FENiX designs the mouthpiece unit and the zirconia vapor path to come apart by hand, and there is a magnetic tool stored in the body that pushes the chamber screen out from underneath. Little and often keeps the draw open and the flavour clean.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

1. Let it cool: Wait until the titanium chamber and the mouthpiece are safe to touch. FENiX warns that the filling chamber gets very hot.
2. Empty and brush the chamber: Remove the mouthpiece, tip out the spent herb and sweep the chamber with the short chamber brush.
3. Refit and check the draw: Set the mouthpiece back at about 25 degrees so the magnets catch. If the pull feels tight, the mouthpiece screen is the first thing to check.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

1. Pull out the magnetic tool: It sits in the top of the device. Use it to push the chamber screen out from the underside so you can reach the whole heating and air channel.
2. Strip the mouthpiece unit: The zirconia mouthpiece stem lifts out, the zirconia vapor path pulls out, and the O ring and screen come away from the mouthpiece base.
3. Clean the metal and zirconia parts: Brush them first, then wipe or soak in isopropyl alcohol. Rinse with warm water and let every piece dry completely before it goes back.
4. Swab the chamber: Use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol on the titanium chamber walls, holding the device upside down so nothing runs into the heater. Do not fill the chamber with liquid.
5. Run the air channel brush through: The long brush is for the air path below the chamber, which is where residue quietly builds up on a convection device.

Care Tips for Better Results

• Load the chamber loosely. FENiX specifically says not to over-fill it, and a packed oven chokes convection airflow. See our grind guide.
• Keep a spare sealing ring with sieve on hand. It is the part that clogs first and it is included as a replacement in the box.
• Do not soak the whole mouthpiece assembly with the O ring fitted, and let parts dry fully before reassembly.
• Wipe the rubberised body with a dry or barely damp cloth only, never with alcohol.

The Neo suits someone who cares more about taste than cloud size. Full convection means the herb is heated by hot air rather than by the oven wall, so extraction is even and the flavour stays clean for longer, which is the trade-off explained in our convection vs conduction guide. The trade-offs are size, draw technique and price. At 216 grams it is heavier than most pocket portables, so it is a jacket or bag device rather than a jeans pocket one.
