Arizer V Tower FAQs

How is the Arizer V Tower different from the Extreme Q?

The V Tower is the whip only member of the family: no fan, so no balloon filling, and no remote. It shares the temperature range, glass parts and heater warranty of the Extreme Q, so the gap is delivery rather than vapor quality.

Can the V Tower be used with a water pipe?

Yes. The glass elbow adapter uses a 19mm male fitting, and Arizer suggests a second elbow on the far end of the whip to feed a bubbler. A 14mm joint needs the frosted glass expander. See our water pipe guide.

Which V Tower screen goes where?

The flat screen sits in the base of the glass cyclone bowl, keeping material off the heater cover. The dome screen sits in the glass elbow adapter at the whip end. Arizer sells the two in separate packs, so check which you are short of.

Do Extreme Q parts fit the V Tower?

Most of the glass does. Arizer lists the cyclone bowl, aroma dish, elbow adapter, whip mouthpiece, glass heater cover and power adapter as fitting the Extreme Q, V Tower and XQ2. The balloon does not, since filling it needs the fan.

What can you change on the V Tower besides temperature?

The menu button steps through the settings and the arrows adjust them. You can switch the display between Celsius and Fahrenheit, silence the beep tone, and set the auto shut off timer. Temperature moves in single degree Celsius increments.

How long does the V Tower take to warm up?

The ceramic element brings the readout to temperature in a minute or two, but the glass is still cold. Give it a few more minutes before drawing, or the cyclone bowl and elbow thin out your first draw.

What does the V Tower warranty cover?

Arizer covers the heating element for life, plus a limited three year warranty on defects in materials and workmanship. Glass is excluded, which matters on a device built largely from it. Service requests want your receipt and the serial number.

Arizer V Tower Cleaning & Maintenance

The V-Tower has no fan and no balloon, so every session pulls vapor along the same route: cyclone bowl, elbow adapter, three feet of silicone tubing, glass mouthpiece. That single path is why the whip clouds up faster than anything else on this vaporizer, and why the dome screen in the elbow is usually the first part to restrict your draw.

  1. Unplug and let the glass cool: Arizer warns that putting hot glass under cold water can crack or break it, and glass is not covered by the three year warranty. Wait until the cyclone bowl and elbow adapter are at room temperature.

  2. Stir out the bowl after each session: Tip out spent herb and run the included glass stirring tool around the inside while the bowl is still warm but not hot. Doing this every time keeps the deeper cleans short.

  3. Take out the screens: The flat screen sits in the cyclone bowl and lifts out if you push it up from underneath. The dome screen pulls out of the glass elbow adapter. Both need to come out before any soaking.

  4. Soak the glass: Arizer specifies 99% isopropyl alcohol for glass parts, with a minimum soak of 30 minutes. Put the cyclone bowl, elbow adapter, glass mouthpiece, aromatherapy dish and stirring tool in together, then rinse with warm water and dry thoroughly before use.

  5. Give the tubing soap and water: Silicone holds onto solvent smell, so keep the tubing out of the alcohol. Soak it in hot soapy water instead, rinse it through, and hang it to air dry. Tubing is a consumable and most users replace it every couple of months.

  6. Brush or swap the screens: A short alcohol soak and a brush clears light residue, but a screen that has gone dark restricts airflow and is worth replacing. Regular users tend to fit fresh flat and dome screens about monthly.

  7. Never soak the base: Unplug it, invert it and shake gently to drop loose debris out of the heater cover. Wipe the stainless housing with a dry microfiber cloth and keep liquid out of the heater.

Check the glass heater cover for chips when the bowl is out. It is a replaceable part and the kit ships with an insulation sleeve and screen. Only ever load ground dry herb, never oils or liquids.
