What are the five temperature presets on the Arizer Air SE?
Level 1 is 180C in blue, level 2 190C in white, level 3 200C in green, level 4 205C in orange and level 5 210C in red. With no screen the lit colour is your only indicator, and our review suggests keeping the quick start guide nearby at first.
Can you use the Arizer Air SE while it is charging?
Yes. Arizer says 15 to 20 minutes on the cable is enough before you can set a temperature and vape while it keeps charging, though it will not run on a completely flat cell. Charging just takes longer that way.
Which stems fit the Arizer Air SE?
Arizer sells the glass as Air / Solo parts, so aroma tubes, stem caps and screens from those models fit. The 70mm tube in the box is joined by 110mm, curved and tipped options, and our review rates a longer one because the standard stem warms up at the top presets.
Do I need the metal screens included with the Air SE?
No. Every Air SE aroma tube has a screen built into its packing end, and Arizer says the loose steel screens make vapour harsh and dull the flavour. It advises whole or coarsely ground material with no metal screen, in line with the usual grind advice.
Why does the Air SE shut off after ten minutes?
That is the automatic shut-off timer, fixed at ten minutes with no setting to change it, so press the button again for another cycle. Powering on needs a two second hold on the button centre, which keeps it from waking in a bag.
What does the Air SE give up next to the Arizer Air Max?
The Air Max swaps the five presets for digital temperature setting, micro USB for USB-C, and the 18650 for a larger cell. Housing here is plastic, with some creak noted in our review. The heating element still carries a lifetime warranty, one year limited on the rest, battery and glass excluded.

Arizer Air SE Cleaning & Maintenance
Every load goes inside the 70mm Glass Aroma Tube rather than into the Air SE itself, so resin settles along the bore of that stem and around the built-in glass screen at its packing end. Arizer calls the Air SE Micro Heater essentially maintenance free, and its isolated airpath is why: fresh air passes the ceramic element, but vapour only touches glass.
-
Stir the tube out while it is warm. Work the stainless steel stir stick around the inside of the tube to lift the spent plug, then tip it away. A 0.25g load lifts out in one piece before the residue sets.
-
Give the glass a long soak. Arizer asks for roughly two hours of isopropyl on the Air SE glass, then a hot water rinse, and a second pass if staining survives. The 70mm tube and any tipped, curved or 110mm stems you add later take the same treatment. Let hot glass reach room temperature first, because a cold rinse cracks borosilicate. Glass is excluded from the warranty; the heating element is covered for life.
-
Swap a clogged screen instead of saving it. Four steel filter screens come in the box, but Arizer treats them as optional and says they make vapour harsh, because every tube carries its own glass screen. Replacements sell in packs, so retire a slow one.
-
Keep liquid outside the body. Nothing gets poured into the heater opening, the unit must never be immersed, and the shell is not meant to be opened. A dry swab at the stem collar is the limit, and our review found the oven stays clean with little intervention.
-
Burn off, then restart the timer. With the glass dry, run level 5, the red 210°C preset, for five to ten minutes to clear any traces. Auto shut-off is fixed at ten minutes on this model, so restart it rather than waiting on a longer cycle.
-
Heat a stem that will not seat. Residue tightens the fit. Choose level 3, the green 200°C preset, wait a minute, then ease the tube in rather than forcing it cold.
-
Mind the cell, the cover and the port. Slide the rear cover down, wipe the 18650 and its contacts, and match positive and negative going back in. Our review noted it is stiff at first and frees up after a few removals. Keep the micro USB port clear of lint, allow about three and a half hours for a full charge, and store spares part charged.
Wash the silicone stem cap and PVC travel tube in warm soapy water, since they hold preloaded stems. A spare aroma tube keeps the Air SE running while the first soaks.
