Lookah Ice Cream

The Ice Cream comes apart into a few pieces, and Lookah's own advice is to clear the chamber while it is still warm so the spent load does not set. The screen, mouthpiece and heating chamber parts are all removable, which is unusual at this price and makes the deep clean much easier than it looks.

Quick Cleaning (After Each Session)

1. Power the device off: Five taps on the power button. The light flashes six times and it vibrates before shutting down.
2. Lift the magnetic lid: It is held by magnets alone and pulls straight off.
3. Empty the chamber while it is warm: Tip out the spent herb before it cools, then use the included metal tool to scrape the walls clear.
4. Check the screen: A quick clear of the screen keeps the draw open. This is the first thing to look at if airflow feels tight.

Deeper Cleaning (Every Few Sessions)

1. Let it cool fully: Never work on a warm chamber with alcohol.
2. Swab the chamber, screen and mouthpiece: Dip a cotton swab lightly in isopropyl alcohol and work over the ceramic chamber, the screen and the inside of the mouthpiece. Keep the swab damp rather than wet.
3. Soak the ceramic and metal parts: For a heavier build-up Lookah allows the removable ceramic and metal pieces to sit in isopropyl alcohol, then be rinsed and dried completely.
4. Wash the silicone separately: Do not put the silicone stopper or any plastic part in alcohol, as Lookah warns it will damage them. Warm water with a little washing up liquid instead.
5. Dry and run a burn off: Once everything is dry and reassembled, run one empty cycle at the highest setting before loading again.
