The Black Mamba sits a 0.65 gram ceramic oven directly under a mouthpiece that is held on by magnets, and everything between the two is glass. 1. Cool it down and clear the oven: The device drops to standby after five minutes, but the ceramic stays hot for a while after that. Once cool, pull the mouthpiece straight off, there is nothing to unscrew, and lift the spent load out with the tweezers from the kit rather than tipping it.

2. Swab the ceramic with isopropyl: Herbalize's guide for this vaporizer is a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol worked around the oven walls. Keep the swab damp rather than wet. The casing is plastic and the heater sits under the ceramic, so nothing should be allowed to run down into it, and the device must never be soaked.

4. Treat the mouthpiece as its own part: Each one is a plastic housing carrying a glass insert and a metal filter. Both the glass and the plastic pick up residue that dulls flavour, so swab them with isopropyl away from the device, then rinse and dry fully before refitting. Kits ship with two mouthpieces, so run one while the other dries.

5. Replace the glass when swabbing stops working: Spare mouthpieces complete with the glass filter, and glass inserts on their own, are sold by UK retailers for a few pounds. Push a new insert home gently. Genuine Kingtons parts are cut for the authentic BLK marked units and may not fit the clones that circulate for this model.

Frequency follows the bowl size. A 0.65 gram load leaves enough residue that a swab of the oven every second or third session is sensible, with the mouthpiece done whenever the draw tightens.
