Which DAbOX coil head should I use?
Three exist but only two ship in the box, a Dual Quartz Clapton and a plain Dual Quartz. ViVANT rates the 0.5 ohm Dual Quartz as the quick firing all day coil, the 0.25 ohm Dual Quartz Clapton as more surface area for harder, lower temperature hits, and the separate Single Quartz Clapton for flavor.
What are the Flip Door's two positions for?
The base twists open and clicks at two stops. Use 45 degrees for loading, enough for the 0.1g to 0.2g ViVANT recommends per session, and 90 degrees to pull the coil assembly out once it is off and cool.
What do the DAbOX light colors mean?
The LED in the glass chamber doubles as a battery gauge: green is 80 to 100 percent, blue 20 to 79, red under 20. On charge the port light sits red and goes out when full, about an hour from flat with a 2 amp adapter.
Why has my DAbOX LED stopped flashing?
Three quick presses of the fire button toggle stealth mode, the usual reason a unit goes dark. A slow flash is different: ViVANT says the coil head is missing, seated wrong or shorted.
Can I use the DAbOX with water?
Yes, with ViVANT's own part. It sells a DAbOX Water Filter that replaces the standard glass chamber, plus the filter glass as a spare. ViVANT makes water pipe adaptors for the Ambit and Alternate but not the DAbOX.
What does ViVANT's two year warranty exclude?
It replaces an authentic ViVANT product that fails through a manufacturing defect, for two years from purchase. The manual voids it for a missing receipt, unauthorized repair, drops or submersion, and damage from the wrong cable or incompatible parts.
How is the DAbOX Pro different?
The Pro is a separate model, not a revision. It adds five level temperature control, a screen for temperature, coil choice, door safety and stealth mode, and a built in water filter. Its Firecore coil runs a spiral trace inside a glass bowl.

The DAbOX puts its atomizer in a swiveling arm at the base and runs the vapor path up a glass tube alongside the battery, so grime does not collect evenly. The exposed quartz coils throw a lot of splatter, and most of it lands on the silicone splash guard sitting between the coil and the glass. That guard clogs faster than anything else here, and a tight draw is usually the first sign of it.

Power down and let the coil cool: Five clicks of the fire button switches the device off. ViVANT is blunt about this in the manual: the coil head must be off and fully cool before you touch or adjust it, or you risk a burn.

Twist the base open: The Flip Door clicks to two positions on a twist, 45 degrees for loading and 90 degrees for coil access. Open it to 90 degrees, grip the coil head on the sides and pull it straight out. The coil screws into an adapter that lifts out with it, so separate the two and wipe both, along with the tracks the assembly slides along. If the LED flashes slowly after refitting, the coil is not seated properly or has shorted.

Rinse the glass chamber: The only cleaning method ViVANT gives is isopropyl alcohol on the glass chamber, rinsed until all residue is gone, then left to dry fully before reassembly. Take the glass out of the body first. Owners report chipping or cracking it by working on it while installed, and ViVANT sells it as a spare part for that reason.

Clear the splash guard: Isopropyl and a cotton swab will open the silicone guard back up. Replace it once the holes stay dark. The box ships a spare guard and three O rings, so refit a fresh O ring if the draw ever feels loose around the chamber.

Keep liquid off the body: Submerging the device voids the warranty. Wipe the shell with a damp cloth only, and keep alcohol away from the Micro USB port and the contacts the coil adapter seats onto in the base.

Treat coils as consumables: A short pulse of the fire button on an empty coil burns off leftover oil between cleans. Swap the head when vapor thins or tastes scorched. Three types fit: dual quartz, dual quartz Clapton at 0.25 ohm, and single quartz Clapton.
With 0.1g to 0.2g dabs, a full strip down every week or two suits most users. Charge the 1500mAh cell with a 2 amp adapter and treat the red charging light going out as full.
