POTV ONE FAQs

What is different about the new version of the POTV ONE?

Current units ship with the magnetic Accessory Attachment and dimpled glass stem in place of the original standard attachment and straight stem. They also use a mesh mouthpiece screen rather than the stamped one, and charge over USB-C, not micro USB.

How much should I load into the POTV ONE?

Planet of the Vapes rates the oven at 0.10 to 0.15 grams, filled loosely and pressed only level with the top of the metal oven. The stainless heater sits below the titanium chamber and never touches the herb, so a tight pack chokes the airflow the heating relies on. See our guide on how to pack a dry herb vaporizer.

How long does a POTV ONE session run?

A four minute timer ends the session and shuts the ONE down, or three clicks of the power button stops it early. POTV puts the internal 1600mAh cell at six to eight sessions, or 30 to 40 minutes, per 90 minute charge.

Can the POTV ONE vaporize concentrates?

Yes, with the stainless mesh pad in the box. Lay it flat in the bottom of the chamber, add no more than a grain of rice of extract, and run the ONE at 430F / 221C. POTV warns that larger amounts run down into the heater and damage it.

What glass fits the POTV ONE?

The Accessory Attachment takes the straight or dimpled stem it ships with, plus the bent glass mouthpiece and the two mini bubblers. The POTV water pipe adapter covers 10mm, 14mm and 18mm female joints, and none of these swaps reduce the bowl size. See dry herb vaping with a water pipe.

Should I buy the POTV Lobo instead?

The POTV Lobo costs more and brings a 0.2 gram oven and a replaceable 18650 cell, which is where POTV points heavy users who find the ONE's bowl and sealed battery limiting. Both carry a two year Planet of the Vapes warranty, claimed with the serial number at the base of the attachment rails.

POTV ONE Cleaning & Maintenance

The ONE packs a 0.1g titanium oven directly beneath a mouthpiece screen held in a blue silicone gasket, so resin lands on that screen first and the draw tightens well before the oven itself looks dirty. Planet of the Vapes rates a full strip down at roughly fifteen minutes, and most of that is soaking time.

After Each Session

  1. Pull the mouthpiece straight off: Use a gentle pull on the body of the mouthpiece rather than pushing against the glass.
  2. Dump the oven while it is still warm: Spent material lifts out cleanly before it cools and sticks.
  3. Brush the mouthpiece screen: The included brush is enough. Later units use a mesh screen instead of the original stamped one, which clogs more slowly but still needs the same attention.

Deep Clean

  1. Split the mouthpiece: Push the screen out of the blue silicone gasket and separate the gasket from the mouthpiece body. Glass pieces come off the Accessory Attachment first.
  2. Soak the hard parts: Glass stems, the water pipe adapter, dosing capsules, the stainless mesh concentrate pad, the packing tool and the metal screens all go into a small amount of isopropyl. Rinse under water and dry completely.
  3. Swab the oven upside down: Hold the ONE inverted while you work an alcohol pad around the loading area and inside the bowl, so nothing runs down into the stainless heater underneath.
  4. Wash the soft parts separately: Isopropyl damages the silicone gasket and the soft touch outer coating. Those get warm water with a mild dish detergent, and the shell gets a damp cloth only.
  5. Wipe the attachment o-rings, never pry them: The black o-rings inside the Accessory Attachment are not removable and prying at them ruins the part. Residue builds up just above the blue gasket, so give that area an extra pass.
  6. Reassemble and burn off: Screen back into the gasket, gasket back into the mouthpiece, then run one session at 430F / 221C until the unit shuts off or the alcohol smell has gone.

Other Maintenance

Never push a brush or tool through the dimpled glass stem. Wash it with warm water and dish detergent instead. A spare gasket and screen ship in the box, and screens are sold in four packs when brushing stops restoring the airflow. Keep the grind medium so fines do not drop through the oven floor screen, and hold concentrate loads to about a grain of rice, since spills run down into the heater. The battery is internal and not user serviceable, so charge it fully before first use and avoid vaping while it is plugged in.
