Healthy Rips Fury 2

The Fury 2 is a convection unit, so hot air passes through the load rather than the stainless steel chamber searing it, and most of the residue ends up further along the path: on the stainless steel screen under the mouthpiece, in the silicone O-ring that grips it, and inside the mouthpiece bore. Airflow that has gone tight is almost always that screen rather than the oven.

1. Clear the chamber while it is warm. Push the mouthpiece out, tip the spent load from the 0.175g to 0.205g chamber, then sweep it with the brush from the box. The included tweezers are useful for lifting out material that has compacted against the chamber wall.
2. Screen and O-ring. With the mouthpiece off, pull the O-ring and stainless steel screen away, then separate the two. Healthy Rips' manual says to brush both with isopropyl alcohol and rinse them with water. Replacement O-ring and screen sets are sold for the Fury and Fury 2, and a fresh screen restores draw faster than scrubbing an old one.
3. Weekly deep clean. Dampen a cotton swab with isopropyl and swipe out the chamber and the mouthpiece bore. The manual is blunt that no liquid should be dripped into the chamber, since the heater sits underneath it. Refit the screen and O-ring, put the mouthpiece back on and run the device for two minutes to burn off what the alcohol leaves behind.
4. Body and ports. The kirksite alloy unibody, the OLED window and the buttons take a damp cloth only, and alcohol should stay away from the micro USB port.

Glass and the WPA

The borosilicate glass mouthpiece and the glass WPA both seat inside the chamber, so they pick up the same resin. Healthy Rips' support pages allow a 15 to 30 minute isopropyl soak for removable parts followed by a warm water rinse, which suits these and the stainless steel screens well. Both pieces must be inserted into a preheated device, and a chamber mouth crusted with residue makes that fit worse, which is a good reason not to skip the weekly swab.

Battery and burn-off

The 1600mAh lithium polymer cell is sealed in, charges over micro USB in 75 to 90 minutes, and should not be used while charging or left charging overnight. Store the unit dry. A new or long unused Fury 2 wants a full four minute run at maximum temperature before its first load.
