Boundless CF

The CF draws vapor straight out of a half gram ceramic oven and through a threaded metal cap drilled with small holes, and that cap is where resin lands first. When draw resistance climbs or vapor thins out, the mouthpiece assembly is almost always the cause rather than the chamber itself.

1. Empty the oven while it is still warm: Tip the spent load out as soon as the session ends so resin does not set into the ceramic walls. The included brush clears whatever stays behind, and using the stir tool to keep loads aerated rather than packed tight prevents most of the clogging further up the airpath.

2. Take the mouthpiece apart: With it still on the device, swing the stem out as though you were drawing on it, then lift the top half away from the base. The base comes off with a counter clockwise twist, and the metal screen cap threads out of it. If the threads have seized, press from the opposite side while twisting, or warm the unit and take a couple of short pulls to free them.

3. Soak the metal, limit the plastic: The screen cap, the chamber screen that sits between the heater and your herb, and the other steel parts can sit in isopropyl as long as they need. Boundless caps mouthpiece tips at around fifteen minutes in alcohol, and the plastic section of the mouthpiece does better in warm water than in solvent. Rinse everything and dry it fully.

4. Lift out the orange o-ring: The silicone ring pulls free for a wipe with a cloth or a damp swab. Keep it out of long alcohol soaks, which stiffen silicone and cost you the seal. Run a pipe cleaner through the cooling stem while the assembly is open.

5. Swab the chamber upside down: Hold the CF inverted so nothing can run into the electronics below, work a lightly dampened alcohol swab around the ceramic walls, then dry it with the other end. Clear the small holes in the ceramic filter at the base of the chamber with a pin or a straightened paperclip.

6. Leave the body alone, then burn off: Boundless warns against alcohol on the outer shell because it attacks the coating, so a dry or barely damp cloth is enough there. Reassemble once every part is dry and run one full heat cycle on an empty oven to clear any residual solvent.

Both the mouthpiece screen and the chamber screen are sold as replacement packs, and swapping a darkened screen is faster than scrubbing one. If you use the concentrate pod, the organic cotton inside it can be replaced as well.
