Zeus Arc GT FAQs

Why does the Arc GT have only three temperature settings?

Zeus treats them as heat cycles rather than a dial, fixed at 401F, 419F and 437F so one packed chamber lasts three sessions. The Zeus Update app on a PC swaps in other profiles, including a cooler Flavor set.

Why is the Arc GT's chamber gold plated?

Zeus calls it Goldsink Technology: the chamber, air path and mouthpiece heat sink are all plated. Gold takes heat on quickly and sheds it just as fast, so the heat sink strips heat from the vapor before it reaches your lips.

Does the Zeus Arc GT come with ArcPods?

No. ArcPods and the Xtruder that fills them are sold separately. Take the Flow Sink and its screen out first, and keep the chamber clean, since Zeus warns a pod sticks in a dirty chamber. See our guide on dosing capsules.

How do I get a freer draw from the Arc GT?

The Flow Sink at the base of the chamber tightens the draw, and Zeus says removing it gives unrestricted airflow and lighter vapor. Push it up from the underside with the Flow Sink Tool, as careless removal is excluded from the warranty.

Why does the Arc GT cool down on its own?

An accelerometer watches for movement, and on the default firmware cool-down begins 45 seconds after it stops sensing any. Zeus Update offers Iceborn versions of each profile that turn this off, useful if you set the unit down between draws.

How long does the Arc GT run on a charge?

Zeus rates the 3500mAh battery at about 90 minutes. Charging is micro USB under the multi-tool in the base, so slide the tool off and rest it on the magnetic mouthpiece. The three year warranty covers hardware, but the battery only three months.

What did the GTS and GT3 change?

The Arc GTS keeps the same battery, presets and micro USB port, adding a redesigned mouthpiece with its own heat sink cover and bundling the Xtruder and ArcPods. The GT3 switched to USB-C.

Zeus Arc GT Cleaning & Maintenance

Gold plating runs the whole way through the Arc GT: the heating chamber, the air path below it and the heat sink that sits inside the mouthpiece. Residue does not stay in the bowl: it builds on the Flow Sink at the base of the chamber and on the screen in the mouthpiece, and once the chamber is coated a spent ArcPod sticks instead of shaking out.

  1. Empty with the multi-tool, not a pick: the gold tool that magnets into the base of the unit stirs the chamber and lifts a used ArcPod free. Zeus warns against scratching the chamber walls with it or anything else sharp, since the gold is a plating rather than solid metal.

  2. Swab the chamber while it is still warm: snap a Zeus Purify Grime Stick to release the ethyl alcohol sealed inside and clean the chamber with the opposite end, then finish with a Grime Wipe. TVape, which owns the brand, suggests doing this straight after a heating cycle, and a cotton swab with 99 percent isopropyl substitutes for a Grime Stick. Let the chamber dry fully before switching the device on.

  3. Keep liquid out of the body: the manual says no cleaning solution or alcohol should go on or into the device, and the warranty specifically excludes damage from liquids poured over or into it. Running the unit before alcohol has evaporated is listed as a fire risk, so there is no burn-off step here.

  4. Soak the removable parts for 30 minutes at most: take out the multi-tool, Flow Sink, screen, mouthpiece and heat sink, leave them in Zeus Purify solution or alcohol for no longer than half an hour, then rinse with water. The silicone mouthpiece absorbs liquid and swells, so if it will not seat afterwards, leave it a few days to shrink back.

  5. Remove the Flow Sink gently: it comes out by pushing the Flow Sink Tool up through the air path from the underside of the device. Damage caused by carelessness here is excluded from the warranty. Refit the Flow Sink and its screen through the top of the chamber.

  6. Replace the Flow Sink Screen rather than cleaning it: Zeus treats it as disposable and suggests a fresh one about monthly. Used screens deform and fray on removal, and forcing one back in can damage the unit. The grate on the mouthpiece screen can be cleared with the multi-tool.

For charging, slide the multi-tool off the base to expose the micro USB port and park it on the magnetic mouthpiece. Use a 5V 1A adapter, never a fast charger, and let the unit cool before plugging in. Firmware is updated separately through Zeus Update.
