Ispire Daab FAQs

Why do the Daab's glass cups have no coil?

The Daab heats by induction: a ferrous ring sealed between two walls of borosilicate glass, driven by an electromagnetic field from the base. Nothing metal touches the concentrate and no atomizer can burn out. Keep other metal out of the induction well, which heats anything conductive.

What batteries does the Ispire Daab take?

Two removable 18650 cells in the base. Ispire's manual asks for 3000mAh to 3500mAh cells rated at least 15A continuous discharge, so ordinary low drain 18650s will not do. A charged spare pair covers the modest runtime, as on our replaceable battery list.

Can you use the Daab while it charges?

Yes. Pass through charging over USB-C lets it fire while plugged in, and a full charge takes just under two hours. An external 18650 charger is quicker.

What temperature should I set on the Ispire Daab?

The range covers 250°F to 800°F in five degree steps, shown on the base screen. Ispire suggests starting near 440°F, inside the 400°F to 500°F band it recommends. Pressing both temperature buttons together for a second switches Fahrenheit to Celsius.

Does the Daab still need a separate reclaim cup?

Early kits used two pieces, a reclaim cup in the induction well with an inner cup inside. Ispire later merged both into one deeper concentrate cup that heats faster, with the metal nearer the inductor. It has no silicone ring, so it runs hot to handle.

What if a Daab glass cup breaks?

The cups are glass and do break, which is why two ship in the box. Ispire sells the cup, water chamber and carb cap separately, though supply thinned after production paused in 2023. Dr. Dabber Switch induction cups substitute well, and Ispire Wand cups are the closest match.

Why does oil end up in the Daab's water chamber?

Ispire tells you to inhale gently, because a hard draw lifts concentrate out of the cup leaving an oily film in the glass. Fill through the mouthpiece only to the marked line.

Ispire Daab Cleaning & Maintenance

Induction means there is no atomizer inside the bowl on the Daab. The cup is borosilicate glass with a stainless ring at its base, and the carb cap and water chamber are glass too, so the whole vapour path can be treated the same way. Residue collects in two spots: baked into the cup where the dab sat, and as an oily film up in the water chamber if you pull too hard. Ispire's manual tells you to inhale gently for that reason, to stop concentrate being dragged out of the cup and into the glass.

  1. Swab the cup after every dab: Set it on a heat resistant surface for two or three minutes, as the manual says, then wipe the inside with a cotton swab while it is still warm but not hot enough to scorch the tip. Reclaim lifts off easily then and sets hard once cold. The kit ships with cotton swabs and alcohol pads for this.

  2. Soak the glass when swabbing stops working: Every glass piece takes 99 percent isopropyl without staining or clouding, so the inner cup, the reclaim cup, the carb cap and the water chamber can all go in a bath, then be wiped, rinsed and dried. Owners also boil them or run them through a dishwasher. Finish the cup with a water damp swab and let it dry completely, because leftover alcohol will come off in your next dab.

  3. Keep the induction well dry: The coil, the board and both 18650 cells sit under that opening. Clean it dry only, with a swab around the rim, and heed the manual's warning about never dropping metal into the induction area. The Daab has no burn off or self clean cycle, so residue leaves only when the cup comes out.

  4. Take the silicone off first: The reclaim cup carries a heat resistant silicone ring and the water chamber a silicone bumper. Lift both clear, wipe them by hand and refit them as the manual's diagram shows. Two spare rings come in the box.

  5. Treat cups as consumables: The glass cups break in normal use, which is why the kit includes a pair of inner cups. Ispire sells the concentrate cup, water chamber and carb cap individually, and later kits merge the reclaim cup and inner cup into a single deeper cup.

  6. Batteries and standby: The 18650s are removable, and Ispire specifies 3000 to 3500mAh cells rated at least 15A continuous. Dry the tray and contacts after wet cleaning. The Daab drops into standby rather than shutting off, so power it down by hand.

Change the water every few days and strip the rig weekly if you dab daily.
