What is the difference between the Modül's quartz and ceramic dry material tanks?
The original quartz tank runs at 850°F to 900°F with no temperature adjustment, and Stündenglass describes it as producing flavor with combustion. The ceramic Dry Material Vaporization Tank holds 0.5g and runs at 248°F to 464°F, which vaporizes instead of burning.
Do I need a Stündenglass gravity infuser to use the Modül?
It mounts magnetically to a full size Gravity Infuser or a Kompact in place of the standard elbow, or to the Modül Dok, a handheld glass piece with a four hole percolator. The body alone has no mouthpiece. See our Stündenglass guide.
How does the Modül know which tank is fitted?
It identifies the tank through the magnetic connection ring and shows the type on the 2.4 inch display. The concentrate tank unlocks a temperature menu and 60 second sessions, while the quartz dry material tank hides that menu and caps sessions at 30 seconds.
Can the Modül handle concentrates?
Yes, with the quartz concentrate tank, sold separately with its own connection ring, so switching material means lifting one tank off and dropping another on. Its carb cap has a dual ceramic airflow insert and fits that tank only.
How long does the Modül battery last?
The 6000mAh cell is rated for up to 50 sessions and refills over USB-C in about two hours. Charging is pass through, so it runs while plugged in, which suits a device that sits on an infuser or Dok.
When should a Modül tank be replaced?
Stündenglass treats tanks as consumables: replace one when the quartz clouds, cracks, or stops holding temperature. Each replacement ships with a fresh magnetic connection ring, and the travel case holds three tanks.
What does the Modül warranty cover?
Coverage is two years from purchase, unlike the rest of the Stündenglass range, and the serial etched into the body must be registered within 30 days. Cleaning with anything other than isopropyl alcohol or soap and warm water voids it.

Modul Cleaning & Maintenance
The Modül's dry material tank runs at 850°F to 900°F, hot enough to scorch rather than gently vaporize, so the quartz walls glaze dark within a few sessions and ash bakes onto the stamped stainless steel element in the floor of the chamber. The tank is held on by a magnetic ring rather than a thread, so anything left on that contact face stops the tank sitting flat and can leave the body misreading which tank is fitted.

Let it cool first: Quartz holds heat long after the session ends. Wait for both the tank and the carb cap to come down to room temperature before handling either.

Clear the chamber with the loading tool: The included loading tool scoops as well as packs. Once the material is fully spent, sweep the ash out of the quartz bowl rather than tipping it into the magnetic ring.

Swab the quartz after each use: Stündenglass asks for a cotton tip around the chamber once cooled. This matters most on the quartz concentrate tank, where the exposed stainless steel coil sits in the puddle and glazes over fast.

Soak the tank in isopropyl periodically: Stündenglass endorses isopropyl on its tanks and states that regular ISO cleaning extends tank life. Lift the tank off the magnetic connection ring first. Because tanks are magnetically detected and hot swappable, a spare tank lets one soak while you keep using the device.

Dry swab the ring and contact face: Wipe the magnetic connection ring and the tank base dry. A ring that is gummed up or losing magnetic strength seats the tank badly and should be replaced.

Clean the carb cap insert: The concentrate carb cap is anodized aluminum with a dual ceramic airflow insert that clogs with condensed oil. Soak that cap separately from the tank.

Keep liquid off the body: The anodized aluminum shell, the 2.4 inch colour display and the USB-C port take a barely damp cloth only. Never soak the body or let alcohol run into the tank well. Dry every part fully before heating again.
If you use the Dok, change its water each session and empty the resin catch in the valve stem. Replace a tank when the quartz clouds or cracks, or when the element stops holding temperature, and treat the silicone O-rings in the tank sleeve as consumables.
