The B-ZERO is a single piece titanium head packed with rubies, and everything vaporized inside it travels straight down into the glass below. In our review the bowl was the one part that genuinely needed attention: buildup blocks the small holes at its base, and a clogged bowl is noticeably harder to finish than a clean one. 1. Wash the bowl and screen weekly: The injector bowl in the essentials bundle is glass, and it takes either its glass screen or a 3/4 inch stainless screen. Lift the screen out, wash both in hot water and dish soap, and give the glass an isopropyl soak once residue darkens it. Screens are cheap consumables, so replace one that stays clogged rather than fighting it.

2. Warm the head before taking it apart: Cannabis Hardware's disassembly and cleaning guide has you set the PID to 150F for five to ten minutes first. Vapor drives resin into the threaded areas and effectively glues parts together, and gentle heat softens it. On reassembly, finger tight is all the manufacturer asks for.

3. Release the spring clip and tip the rubies out: The B-ZERO head holds roughly 100 3mm rubies or 40 4mm, retained by a spring clip and two 5/8 inch titanium screens. Ring pliers open the clip. Cannabis Hardware sells the locking ring and the screens separately when either gets tired.

4. Soak in hot isopropyl, then wash: The manufacturer's guide calls for an hour in hot isopropyl for the disassembled titanium parts, followed by a hot bath of water and dish soap, then a thorough wipe down. The rubies go through the same soak.

5. Refinish stains rather than scrubbing them: For resin staining on the titanium, the guide points to a fine sanding or scotch-brite pad worked back to the factory brushed finish, then one last wash and rinse.

6. Keep the coil dry: The 20mm XLR coil is the only electrical part here. Unplug it from the PID controller and slide it clear of the head before anything gets wet.

7. Do not try to burn it clean: Cannabis Hardware puts the FlowerPot's working range at 550F to 800F, states there is no reason to ever exceed 800F, and points owners at the cleaning manual rather than high heat when parts are dirty.

Grind matters here too. Cannabis Hardware asks for a fine grind and suggests cleaning your grinder weekly with hot dish soap and a firm bristle brush, since the titanium screen was made for material that fine. If you shop for a different bowl, note that the B-ZERO fits Shovelhead revision J onward, as earlier ones are too wide.
